The list was a bit delayed today as it took me an extra four hours to drive back from Ottawa last night. Anyway I love our snow and I love our country, here is the weekly list for you. A rare and legitimate usage of the 20 Quebec. $1,000.00

Ex Bursey. $125.00 SOLD Item 276-03 Dr. Chase 1897, 3 Jubilee tied by Toronto Bickerdike machine cancel on Dr. Chase s Medicines advertising cover to Amherstburg. Ex Bursey. $150.00

Item 276-04 1 rate before Wartax imposed 1915, 1 Admiral tied by Toronto machine cancel on OHMS censored cover (from Soldier). Originally sent free, entered in to Toronto, franked and sent as 1 drop letter. Canadian soldiers in Europe had free-franking privileges if their mail had a military postmark or a censor marking. When such mail arrived in Canada, a further handling was necessary by the P.O. Dept to affix the correct postage to avoid the letter being taxed and the recipient charged. This 1915 soldier s cover entered in Toronto before War Tax was imposed and mailed as a drop letter rate. Scarce. Item 276-08 Edmonton AR, returned 1937, 3 Mufti, 10 RCMP tied by Edmonton Alta cds on cover paying 13 registered (and AR) to Beauford. Not called for and returned. Thorsby transit (b/s). $25.00 Item 276-09 Late use of 1923 AR card 1939, 10 RCMP tied by Wolfville NS cds on AR card (form 39B 150,000, 9-3- 23) returned from the US. A late use of a 1923 card. $25.00

Borland (PM 1883-1894). The LAC website mentions that this post office was kept in bar-room. $50.00 SOLD

Item 276-14 Major shift of the ocean 1899, 2 Numeral (2), 2 Map with muddy water extremely dark brown and shift of the ocean tied by grid cancel from Peterboro on stamp dealer cover paying 7 registered letter rate to Chicago (b/s). Windsor transit and RPO (b/s). Reverse with two ½ Numeral to make up the rate and sealed the envelope. $125.00 SOLD Item 276-15 Shift of the ocean 1901, 5 Numeral, 2 Map with muddy water effect gold and shift of the ocean tied by Parkdale Ont roller cancel on stamp dealer cover paying 7 Empire registered letter rate to England (b/s). Item 276-26 New 4 rate to Empire, short 1921, 3 Admiral tied by Abbotsford Que cds dated Oct 2 1921 on cover shortpaying the new 4 rate effective on Oct 1 1921 to England. Collect 2 (applied in Canada), T10, 1½d, postage due stamps tied by Southampton cds, redirected and tax paid with initials. No backstamps. Rate collector, it is a good buy! $75.00 Item 276-27 Montreal to England to France 1914, 2 Admiral tied by Montreal International machine cancel on cover paying 2 Empire to England (b/s), then redirected to France with GB 1d, ½d tied by Oxford. Not scarce but fun usage. $75.00

Item 276-36 Two interprovincial covers 1856-1857, two Papineauville LC covers both paid 3d paying 3d interprovincial rate to Fredericton. The October 1856 cover took 3 days Montreal to Woodstock and the Feb 1857 cover took 8 days Montreal to Woodstock via Quebec. Price for the pair. $250.00
