Introducing the new Amadeus corporate logo What is a logo? It s the image that represents a company or a product. It combines visual, emotional, rational and cultural elements. Logo are very special. They enrich our lives. They remind us of things that are important to us such as philosophies, dreams and achievements. Amadeus & Asiana Airlines celebrate success with Altéa Suite Asiana is the first full service carrier in the North Pacific region to implement the passenger service system from Amadeus They also help communicate these ideas to others and can represent thoughts, feelings, emotions and values.a logo can quickly communicate something which could take several sentences, pages or books to explain in words. A picture is worth a thousand words. The concept of the new Amadeus logo is to make our brand more solid, simple and memorable. This new design has been evolved for a more modern look. It gives our logo greater legibility and visual impact. We have maintained the combination of upper/lower case lettering that is part of ourheritage, and a key differentiating element of our original logo. We want people to think of Amadeus as a technology innovator and customer centric partner. The new Amadeus logo. It s Amadeus. It s global. It tells one story. It shape the future of travel! Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry and Asiana Airlines, a global airline with the management ideology, maximum safety and customer satisfaction through service, today celebrates the airline s successful migration to the Amadeus Altéa Suite. The new system will now manage its domestic and international reservations, inventory operations and power its website. The new system marks an important step forward for the airline s growth strategy as it plans to overcome 2013 challenges and plans for success in 2014 and beyond. The new system will support Asiana s growth strategy by enhancing customer service and driving more efficient business operations. As a Star Alliance carrier, Asiana Airlines will use the Altéa Suite to enhance interconnectivity and information-sharing between partner airlines, enabling the airline to deliver a smooth and seamless travel experience to its customers. Kwang Hee Ryu, Executive Vice President, Commercial-Passenger, Asiana Airlines said, We are very excited to have the new system in place and expect our customers to see the benefits almost immediately. Working closely with Amadeus, we have had a dedicated team in place to ensure a seamless transition and we couldn t be happier with the results. The Altéa Suite was implemented in over 200 Asiana Airlines offices, while 240,000 flights, 800,000 Passenger Name Records (PNRs), 300,000 frequent flyer profiles and 200,000 e-tickets were moved to the new system. In addition, over 440 Asiana Airline agents were trained, making it one of the airlines largest projects since it announced its intention to implement Altéa in 2011. Hazem Hussein, Executive Vice President, Airline Commercial, Amadeus Asia Pacificadded, This is the first full service airline in North Pacific to implement Altéa and it s a great example of effective collaboration and project management enjoyed between Asiana Airlines and Amadeus. Additionally, Asiana Airlines customers will also benefit from Amadeus e-retail that will enhance self-service functionality, enabling consistent shopping experience when searching for Asiana flights, exploring special offers, redeeming frequent flyer miles, or when rebooking alternative travel options. The Altéa Suite is a passenger service system that completely re-engineers the end-to-end customer experience and flight departure process. It also automates flight schedules, seating and re-accommodation, to improve business efficiency and performance, reducing waiting times at airports and enhancing customer service. 2 Amadeus Bulletin Malaysia January 2014 Amadeus Bulletin Malaysia January 2014 3

Low-cost airline capacity booms in Asia and takes a huge leap in Eastern Europe Amadeus analysis on the first half of 2013 shows that Indonesia, India, Thailand and Malaysia combined account for over 50% of global LCC seat capacity growth of 6.8% Capacity change by region. First half of 2012 compared to first half of 2013. On a global basis, London s LCC seat capacity is by far the largest of any city with nearly 15 million available LCC seats. That is roughly 1.5 times the number of available seats at the next largest LCC city, Sao Paulo. However, the rates of growth occurring at Jakarta (44%) and Kuala Lumpur (15%) suggest the third and fourth placed cities may move up the top ten ranking over coming years.
