Cancellations received within 70 days of departure date are subject to the following penalties on the land portion: Between: 70 days prior to departure Forfeiture of deposit 69-46 days prior 25% per person 45-8 days prior 35% per person 7-1 days prior 50% per person On day of departure 100% per person B & B CANCELLATIONS: When open B & B vouchers are purchased from CIE Tours and accommodation is booked directly by you with homeowners, it is your responsibility to cancel such reservations directly with Bed & Breakfast Ireland s website or homeowners in the event that vouchers are cancelled with CIE Tours. LOCAL GOVERNMENT TAXES: All 2018 land prices include local government VAT (Value Added Tax) applicable on June 01, 2017. Any additional costs resulting from a tax increase are payable before travel, even if the booking is under deposit or paid in full. TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN: As we are based at destination, we are unable to offer travel insurance policies to persons travelling on our coach tours, but we do require all passengers to have the appropriate best travel insurance policy. Please ask your local insurance provider/bank. COACH TRANSPORTATION: Tours are usually operated by 48 seat motor coaches (average 36 persons). When passenger numbers are below 25, the operator reserves the right to substitute driver and tour director with a qualified driver/guide on a smaller vehicle. Client seating is rotated daily to allow everyone to sit towards the front of the coach. ACCOMMODATION: Land arrangements are provided as described in each tour program. CIE Tours reserves the right to substitute hotels for accommodations in similar categories. Accommodation in B&Bs (farmhouses, town and country homes) is clean, comfortable and includes private bathrooms. MEALS: Meals are provided as specified in each tour program. Dinners in hotels are on a table d hôte basis. Normally hotels/ restaurants will offer at least one of meat/fish/vegetarian option on all of our tours. Meal requests outside of this cannot be guaranteed prior to travel. For vegetarians, CIE Tours can only guarantee western vegetarian or vegan meals as this policy is passed to us by our suppliers Guests that have restrictive or specific requirements (including Halal or Kosher products or Jain vegetarian dishes) sometimes take their own food with them which hotels will cook for them. TIPS: Tips for personal services and to tour directors and drivers are not included in tour cost and left to your discretion. Your documentation will include tipping guidelines for your destination. VISITS, ENTERTAINMENT AND OTHER FEATURES: CIE Tours reserves the right to substitute visits, entertainment and other features when establishments are closed or cannot be visited for reasons beyond our control. Call your travel agent or 1800 502 911 CIE TOURS CANCELLATIONS: If it becomes necessary to cancel a coach tour prior to departure, CIE Tours will offer the next available date at no additional land cost or will make a full refund of all monies paid to CIE Tours. CIE Tours cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to such a tour booking or for any cancellation penalties due to non-refundable airfares. GUARANTEED COACH TOURS: Due to events beyond our control, it may be necessary for CIE Tours to cancel a guaranteed coach tour. Under these circumstances we will offer either the next available date at no additional land cost or 100% refund of all payments made to CIE Tours. In addition, we will also reimburse or absorb documented airline penalties/fare changes not exceeding A$250 per person, even if the air is purchased independently. TRAVELLERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: Passengers necessitating unique attention must advise CIE Tours at time of booking. Passengers who require particular assistance must travel with a qualified travel companion as CIE Tours drivers and guides cannot provide individualized help. As our coaches are not equipped with wheelchair ramps, all tour members must be able to mount 3 or 4 steps into coach. Motorized scooters are unsuitable for touring. CIE Tours is not responsible for denial of services by any of our suppliers. Due to space restrictions, passengers wishing to take wheel chairs, oxygen tanks, walkers or other assistive devices must send a request in writing for approval. CIE Tours reserves the right to remove any individual from a tour who has not provided the advance notification. CHILDREN/YOUNG ADULTS: Children under 8 are not permitted to travel on coach tours. Children aged 8-17 are charged 90% of the full adult rate and must travel with an adult. Young people travelling unaccompanied must be at least 18 years of age. PHOTOGRAPHY ON TOUR: Occasionally CIE Tours will use photographs and/or video taken by fellow guests or your CIE Tour Director on tour for print, online, or other promotional media purposes. If you prefer that your image not be used in any marketing activities, please notify your CIE Tour Director at the start of your trip. SMOKING POLICY: Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not allowed on any motorcoach. LUGGAGE: Handling of one piece of luggage per person is included in the cost of all coach tours. Only one suitcase per person is permitted and size should not exceed 30 x 20 x 10 inches (75 x 50 x 25 cm) and weight should be under 50 lbs (23 kg). Luggage is carried at owner s risk throughout the tour unless insured. Hand baggage and small articles such as coats, umbrellas or cameras are entirely in the care of the passengers. Boot space in self-drive cars is limited so pack lightly, preferably using soft-sided suitcases. NOT INCLUDED: All items of a personal nature (room service, beverages, telephone charges, laundry, special food requests, etc.) and meals not specified on the tour itinerary are not included and must be paid by the passenger. PASSPORTS & VISAS: It is the travellers responsibility to obtain the correct travel documentation (passport, visa, identifications) for the destination(s) to be visited. DOCUMENTS: We provide electronic documents free of charge for all bookings. Documents are emailed on receipt of final payment. Bookings will incur a fee of A$50 per person if they require physical documentation and welcome pack/flight bag etc. Flight bag can be collected at reception of your first nights hotel. UNUSED TOUR ARRANGEMENTS: CIE Tours cannot make refunds or exchanges for unused accommodations, services or features of any tour unless agreed upon in writing prior to departure. CAR RENTAL INSURANCE: Car rental charges include unlimited mileage, current local taxes, airport location service charges (LSC), third party liability, theft protection (TP) and collision damage waiver (CDW), which indemnifies the driver against damage to the rental car. The following non-waivable deductible amounts vary depending on car rented and are not covered by CDW w1,600-3,000. CREDIT CARD HOLD: To cover incidentals, Hertz will place a hold on your credit card. The amount depends on the type of vehicle rented. This will be released at the end of the rental period provided there is no damage to vehicle. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: Any optional charges that are accepted must be paid at time of rental. SUPER COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (SCDW): To insure against CDW deductible amounts above, the hirer may purchase a Super CDW. Super CDW does not cover tires, wheels, fuel contamination or loss of keys. Daily cost: w14.00-30.00. DRIVER/BAGGAGE PROTECTION (DBP/PAI): Daily cost: w5.50. AGE LIMITS: 30-75 years. Certain conditions apply for drivers 25-29 & 76-79 years. Drivers aged 23-24 years are restricted to car types A, B & E and pay a daily surcharge of w26.00. EXTRA DRIVER(S) SUPPLEMENT: Daily cost per additional driver: w9.50. DRIVING LICENSE: Drivers must have one year s driving experience and produce a valid driving license with no endorsements, issued in their state/country of residence. PETROL/PARKING FEES: Hirer is responsible. CAR RENTAL CATEGORIES: Car rental companies reserve the right to substitute cars for other models in similar category. CHAUFFEUR-DRIVE CARS: Rates are calculated on a maximum driving time of 8 hours per day. For all car and chauffeur arrangements, prices are predicated on the number of people booked at time of final payment. Any cancellation of passengers after final payment may necessitate a change of vehicle category and increased costs will be divided between the remaining travellers. Tips for drivers are not included in tour cost and left to your discretion. LAW: Passenger contract with CIE Tours is subject exclusively to Irish Law and Jurisdiction for Irish Tours or English Law and Jurisdiction for British Tours. CLAIMS OR DISPUTES: You should submit to CIE Tours in writing no later than 28 days after the end of the tour. RESPONSIBILITY: CIE Tours International, 35 Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1 are not responsible for any personal injury, property damage or other loss a passenger incurs on any tour arising from acts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company, hotel, car rental company, subcontractor or other person or organisation, whether or not such company is rendering any services supplied on the tour. All tickets and vouchers are issued and supplied subject to the foregoing and to any and all terms and conditions under which transportation and services are provided. Italian and Eastern European coach tours are operated for CIE Tours by Kompas Holidays. Without limitation CIE Tours is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control, including, without limitation any willful or negligent act, failure to act, breach of contract or violation of local law or regulation of any third party such as an airline, train, hotel, bus, taxi, van, local ground handler or guide, financial default or insolvency of any supplier and/or restaurant which is, to, or does supply any goods or services for this trip. CIE Tours is not liable for any loss, injury, death or inconvenience due to delay or changes in schedule, overbooking of accommodation, default of any third party, attacks by animals, sickness, the lack of appropriate medical care, evacuation to same, if necessary, weather, strikes, acts of God or government, acts of terrorism, or the threat thereof, force majeure, war, quarantine, epidemics, or the threat thereof, criminal activity, or any other cause beyond its control. CIE Tours reserves the right at its sole discretion to alter the itinerary as it may deem necessary or advisable. CIE Tours reserves the right at its sole discretion to decline to accept or retain any passenger on any of its tours if it deems accepting or retaining any such person as being detrimental to the tour. In the event any passenger is removed from a trip, CIE Tour s only obligation is to refund to that person that portion of the payment allocable to unused services. Any disclaimer of liability by CIE Tours under this clause is enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Each of the provisions of this clause is severable and if any such provision is held by any court or other competent authority to be illegal, void or unenforceable in whole or in part, the legality, validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of this clause shall not be affected or impaired. Changes in the RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE can be made only in writing signed by an officer of CIE Tours. It is travellers responsibility to obtain the correct travel documentation (passport, visa, identifications) for the destination(s) to be visited. CIE Tours is not responsible for penalties incurred for tickets, international or domestic, not issued by CIE Tours due to schedule and/or flight changes. ARBITRATION: Any dispute or difference of any kind whatsoever which arises or occurs between any of the parties hereto in relation to anything or matter arising under, out of or in connection with this contract shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration Rules of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Irish Branch. Claims for less than the jurisdiction of the District Court Small claims procedure per booking form may be pursued through the Small Claims Court. All claims in excess of the jurisdiction of the District Court Small Claims procedure shall be referred to arbitration (details of Arbitration available on request). VALIDITY: Rates in this brochure are valid from 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2018 and are quoted on a per person, sharing twin room basis. Single supplements are always payable in the event of single occupancy. All prices are shown in Australian dollars and are calculated on currency rates and fares existing on June 8, 2017.
