GOODGUYS CRUISER GUIDELINES 1) Itinerary---We are taking four days for Cruisin to Columbus so that we can take our time and enjoy the Cruise. However when we do stop we will inform everyone when we will be departing so please be punctual for departure times so that we can all leave together. 2) Cruising Speeds---We will go the Posted Speed Limits. Please try to stay together and keep the caravan tight. Do not allow big gaps as some Grocery Getters will get in our line and break up our caravan. The tighter we stay together the safer it is for all of the Cruisers. This is especially important through small towns when we are dealing with Traffic Lights. Sometimes it is best to double up and fill both lanes to make sure we all make it through the Traffic Light. 3) What to do if you do get separated from the Caravan---- the lead car will be in radio contact with the tail-gunner so keep going and the lead car will slow down or pull over in a safe place and wait for the balance of the cruisers to catch up. It also a very good idea to have Motorola 2-ways- (FMRS or GMRS) Radios so that everyone is able to communicate any and all issues. NOTE: We have found out over the years that the only RADIOS that can get out and are compatible are MOTOROLA s!!! 4) Gas Stops and Pee Stops---We typically stop every 2 to 2.5 hours or about every 150 miles. If anyone needs to stop earlier please pull out and go to the front and inform the lead car or call the TOUR LEADER on the radio. * EXPLAIN CRUISER SYMBALS* 5) Lunch and Dinner Stops---Where we stop generally has a variety of Restaurants from which to choose. In some cases we have selected a Restaurant for dining. If you choose to do something different that is fine just rejoin the cruise at our departure time and place so that we can all leave together. 6) Hotel Stops---Check your Itinerary When it is time to leave BE READY TO DEPART. Do not be rude to the other Cruisers and make them wait. We will leave and you can catch up and join us at our next stop. 7) Mechanical Problems---If a problem arises please attempt to make it to a Rest Area or an Exit or a safe roomy area if at all possible. If a problem happens back in the caravan, everyone behind the car with a problem should stop to assist. Someone should then call the lead car on the CELL PHONE or on the Radios and the balance of the cars will stop as soon as possible and no further than the next Exit or a safe place for all to pull over. 8) Let s have fun BE SAFE and enjoy the Cruise.
