Wonderful gite in beautiful location 5 of 5 Review Submitted: May 25, 2016 Date of Stay: May 2016 Source: Owners Direct, from HomeAway What a stunning gite! Beautifully restored and refurbished by the owners, Jim & Orphelie. Tastefully furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need, a real home from home. We had a very laid back week at La Petite Grange after attending MotoGP at Le Mans. It is situated in lovely French countryside with lots to do and see in the surrounding areas and local supermarkets, restaurants and bakeries within a couple of minutes driving distance. Jim & Orphelie were very welcoming providing fresh eggs from their lovely brood, homemade jam and wonderful Epine!! Overall, a highly recommended lovely holiday home. Andrew R. Excellent stay in well kept secret part of France Date of Stay: Mar 2016 Source: Owners Direct, from HomeAway 5 of 5 Review Submitted: Apr 7, 2016 We really enjoyed our stay, and found the 'Loir' a very agreeable 'secret' part of France. The cottage is delightful - and very welcoming to find the wood burner lit, eggs in the kitchen and a bottle of 'Epine' in the fridge. Our two young children enjoyed the garden and the company of the hens and 'Buddy' the (very gentle) dog. We found the local information (on the troglodyte town of Troo, on local walks + shops, the local 'Jasnieres' wine etc) very helpful and had a fine time. Croissants for breakfast within 3 minutes' drive and very good old-fashioned French restaurant (the 'Hotel de France in Le Chartre sur Loir, with interesting Aston Martin connections, within 10, even if your car is a little more humble. Jim and Ophelie were on hand when we had the odd question and otherwise left us to it. Map Address: La Grange, 72340 Lhomme, France Zip/Postal Code: 72340 Latitude / Longitude:
