Tourism Opportunities
Welcome ISCA Members and Visitors! On behalf of the Ohio Welcome Team, thank you for your interest in sight-seeing while enjoying the 2018 Nationals at the Sawmill Creek Resort. One of the benefits of our Nationals rotating through multiple regions of the country is enjoying the unique topographical, cultural, and recreational attributes of the various locations. We certainly would like to extend a warm welcome to you as you explore north-central Ohio and the shoreline of Lake Erie! With respect to our show schedule, we have compiled several short potential travel itineraries that could take a couple hours, an entire morning, or most of a day depending on your interests. Within a 20 minute drive of Sawmill Creek, are several small quaint downtowns that offer a nice tourist experience inclusive of shopping, small museums, and eateries. Itineraries for Milan, Sandusky, and Vermilion are included here as a quick overview. Please utilize the websites listed for additional detail on the specific attractions. Also please utilize the website for the local tourism bureau as they can provide a wealth of detailed information of the area. Lake Erie Shores & Islands www.shoresandislands.com 1-800-255-ERIE In addition to these itineraries, a couple of other potential tourist opportunities of note include Cedar Point Amusement Park or an excursion to the nearby islands. The ferry ride to Put-in-Bay offers an epic trip of sightseeing, shopping, and dining as does Kelley Island. Transportation to either location can be arranged through the shuttle at Sawmill Creek. We have also included some information on nearby nature trails and parks that are dog friendly should you wish to take a stroll with your favorites. Again our thanks, please contact the ISC-OH if you need additional information!
