Day 1 (April 14th) Saturday: Moncton to Meriden, CT 6:45AM Meet your Driver and Tour Director in the Moncton Coliseum parking lot. The bus will leave at 7:00 sharp. We will be travelling through New Brunswick, Maine, New Hampshire &Massachusetts with rest-stops and lunch along the way. Your tour director will make the time pass with games and entertainment. Arrive at your host hotel in Meriden, CT. There are restaurants and shops nearby if you would like to do some exploring and shopping. Day 2 (April 15th) Sunday: Meriden, CT to Harrisonburg, VA / Enjoy a nice complimentary hot breakfast and checkout of the hotel. We will be travelling through Connecticut, and New York with rest-stops and lunch along the way. Enjoy the scenery as we travel. Arrive at your host hotel in Harrisonburg, VA. Have dinner at one of the local restaurants and relax in the hotel. Day 3 (April 16th) Monday: Harrisonburg, VA to Nashville, TN / Enjoy a nice complimentary hot breakfast and checkout of the hotel. We will be travelling through Virginia and along the beautiful Jefferson and Cherokee National Forests. We will have rest-stops along the way and arrive at our host hotel in Nashville, TN- hailed by Travel & Leisure magazine as one of the "friendliest cities in the United States" and known affectionately as "Music City USA". After freshening up at the hotel, you will have a free night to do anything you would like. We will start our 3 day journey in Music City USA.
Day 4 (April 17th) Tuesday: Local Touring / After a nice hot breakfast, we will be visiting the Historic Studio B (10am) & Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum (11am) to learn where "Music City" got its nickname. As the world s largest music museum, the Country Music Hall of Fame gives country music fans the ultimate experience, displaying everything from rhinestone costumes to tear-stained lyric sheets. Some will say that no trip to Nashville is complete without visiting the tried and true honky-tonk saloons downtown along Broadway St. You will be able explore restaurants and bars such as Legends Corner, The Stage, Tootsies and Cadillac Ranch, where admission is always free. There are also lots of unique shops to check out along this popular street. After dinner we will be going to see the show that made country music famous, The Grand Ole Opry (7pm). An American Icon and Nashville's number one attraction is known for creating one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences for audiences of all ages. It's where unforgettable moments happen every week... For over 85 years, the country's best has mesmerized audiences at this unforgettable evening performance. Sit back and enjoy the live show, you never know who may show up on stage! Day 5 (April 18th) Wednesday: Local Touring After a nice hot breakfast, we will visit The George Jones Cemetery (8:45am) and then we will have a very special experience with a backstage guided tour of the Grand Ole Opry Backstage Tour (10:00am). We will be visiting then the George Jones Museum (2pm) where you ll learn more about the life and achievements of this famous country Legend. You will be able to explore restaurants and bars such as Legends Corner, The Stage, Tootsies and Cadillac Ranch, where admission is always free. There are also lots of unique shops to check out along this popular street.
Day 6 (April 19th) Thursday: Nashville to Memphis, TN Enjoy a nice complimentary hot breakfast and checkout of the hotel. This morning, we will be leaving at 7:15am toward Loretta Lynn Ranch 8:45am and after we will head for lunch at The Loretta Lynn Kitchen. We will visit Graceland Mansion, the home of Elvis Presley, Memphis TN's most popular attraction and also the world's most famous rock 'n' roll residence. You will follow in the same steps as Elvis himself as you enjoy an audio-guided tour featuring commentary by Elvis and his daughter Lisa Marie. After a late dinner, we will sleep in Memphis, TN for the night. You will be free to explore Beale street, go see a show at the Orpheum Theatre, book a night tour, or relax at some popular Blues & Jazz Bars like the Hi Tone Cafe, Earnestine & Havel s, Rum Boogie Cafe and much more. Day 7 (April 20th) Friday: Memphis, TN to Lafayette, LA / Enjoy a nice complimentary breakfast, meet with your Tour Director and check out of our hotel. This morning we will be travelling to Lafayette, LA. We will pass through Grenada, Jackson and Baton Rouge. We ll have games and rest-stops along the way and arrive at our host hotel. After dinner, you ll be free to explore and enjoy your first night in Lafayette, which has a pretty unique nightlife. If you get the chance, try one of the many bars and clubs that the city has to offer. Most are located on or near Jefferson Street, but there are a few bars spread out around the city. The bus will go to a local Cajuns restaurant.
Day 8 (April 21st) Saturday: Local Touring / / After a nice hot breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Acadian Culture Centre (8:30am) which tells stories of the origins, migration, settlement, and contemporary culture of the Acadians (Cajuns) and other area groups. Right after that, we will make our way to Vermilion Ville (10:00am), a living history museum and folklife park that promotes and propagates the cultural resources of the Acadian, Native American, and Creole people from the time period 1765 to 1890. After lunch, you ll be totally free to explore anything you desire in Lafayette. Included in this tourist a swamp/bayou 3pm tour to find an alligator friend or be on your own and visit the Zoo of Acadiana, Take a tour of Parish Brewing Company, and much more. In the evening, we will go eat some local Cajuns food & listen/dance to some live Cajuns music. Day 9 (April 22nd) Sunday: Lafayette, LA to New Orleans, LA - Enjoy a nice complimentary hot breakfast and checkout of the hotel. This morning, we will visit the Acadian Village (9am) the oldest authentic vision of life in 19th century Southwest Louisiana and a showcase of historic homes alongside winding bayous depicting the unique Acadian architecture of the time. After a nice lunch, we will begin our drive to New Orleans where you ll get a nice view of Lake Pontchartrain and enjoy the scenery along the way. Arrive and check in at out host hotel in New Orleans, LA. You ll then have free time to explore Bourbon Street, French Quarter, Jackson Square, city parks and much more or go in the bus and go to a night of live music.
Day 10 (April 23rd) Monday: Local Touring After a nice complimentary hot breakfast at the hotel, we will meet out Local Guide (8am), who will take us to a few of New Orleans s most popular places and tell us more about this famous city. We will then visit the National WWII Museum (10am) which is ranked the #1 Attraction in New Orleans by TripAdvisor and the #1 "Best Place to Learn U.S. Military History" by USA Today, The Museum features a rich collection of artifacts that bring history to life. Here you will find thought-provoking and interactive exhibits that explore the American Experience in the war that changed the world. You will also have the option to visit the MARDIS GRAS WORLD instead of the museum. After a nice lunch, we ll experience New Orleans from the Mississippi River with a scenic cruise on the historic Steamboat Natchez. This two-hour cruise (2h30-4h30) from the heart of the French Quarter takes you back in time to the atmosphere of the Old South. It s your last night in New Orleans, so make sure to enjoy and make the best of it! You ll be free to explore and do anything you didn t get a chance to do yesterday. Go have a nice dinner in one of the many wonderful local restaurants and celebrate! Day 11 (April 24th) Tuesday: New Orleans, LA to Atlanta, GA Enjoy a nice complimentary hot breakfast and checkout of the hotel. We will be travelling to Montgomery, Alabama, with rest-stops along the way. Your tour director will make the time pass with games and entertainment. After lunch, we will stop at the Hank Williams House & Museum in Alabama. You ll experience the history of the first Country Music superstar and see how Hank Williams transformed country music and sowed the seeds of American Music. Arrive and check in at out host hotel in Atlanta, GA. You ll have free time to explore before enjoying a nice relaxing night of local country music.
Day 12 (April 25th) Wednesday: Atlanta, GA to Harrisonburg, VA Enjoy a nice complimentary hot breakfast and checkout of the hotel. We will be travelling to Roanoke, VA. We ll be passing through Johnson City and Birmingham, with rest-stops and lunch along the way. Your tour director will make the time pass with games and entertainment.. / We ll arrive and check in at our host hotel in Harrisonburg, VA. You ll then be free to simply relax at the hotel or explore anything you desire. Center in the Square is a great place to visit where there are several local restaurants, bars, and shops. Day 13 (April 26th) Thursday: Harrisonburg, VA to Uncasville, CT Enjoy a nice complimentary hot breakfast and checkout of the hotel. Today we ll be traveling to Uncasville, CT. We re going to pass through Shenandoah National Park, Stamford and Bridgeport, where you ll enjoy the beautiful view of the water and scenery. We ll stop for lunch and have a few rest stops along the way. There will be games and entertainment on the bus to pass the time. We will arrive and check in at our host hotel in Uncasville, CT.
Day 14 (April 27th) Friday: Uncasville, CT to Moncton, NB Enjoy a nice breakfast and check out of your hotel. Meet with your Tour Director and get ready for the final journey home. Today we ll be traveling to Moncton, NB. We ll pass through Bangor and Saint- John with lunch and a few rest stops along the way. Arrive home and say goodbye to your Driver and Tour Director.
