Places to visit in Belgrade: Option 1: Visit of Kalemegdan fortrest and its lagoons. After a visit, walk to The residence of Princess Ljubica to drink coffee and listen to the historic story of living in Belgrade in the 1800. Best way to visit sightseeing is to go to some of the restaurant in modern area called Beton hall. If visitors are more interested in traditional Serbian food, better idea is visit to one of oldest bohemina part of Belgrade, Skadarlija, full of traditional restaurants. THE BELGRADE FORTRESS Stone masterpiece above the city. The Belgrade Fortress changed and developed throughout the centuries, it saw many armies, was the field of many battles, it witnessed the brutality of the conquerors and the courage of the tireless defenders of the city. It was the place where Belgrade started to develop. The Fortress was built in stages, during the lengthy period between the 1st and 18th century, from a Roman cestrum, through a Byzantine castle and the remains of the medieval capital of the Serb Despotate, all the way to an Austrian-Ottoman artillery fortification. THE RESIDENCE OF PRINCESS LJUBICA Balkan Baroque. It was built by order of Milos Obrenovic in 1831. By its architectural composition and arrangement, the palace belongs to the Balkan style, with some western Baroque elements.

BETON HALL Next to the river, old hangars are now transformed into modern restaurants. There you can find Serbian, Spanish, Italian, Japanese restaurants always full. SKADARLIJA The old bohemian quarter. It dates back to late 19th and early 20th century. It was back then when its kafane (taverns and restaurants) were a meeting place for many of the greatest figures of the cultural scene of the period. It is often compared with the Montmartre in Paris, both for its appearance and the cheerful, vigorous artists atmosphere. PRICE: 47 EUR per person Option 2: Visit of the Royal Palace with visit of Nikola Tesla Museum and The Temple of Saint Sava. THE ROYAL PALACE The palace complex of the Karageorgevich dynasty on Dedinje consists of the Royal and White Palaces. The Royal Palace was built between 1924 and 1929 with the private funds of His Majesty King Alexander I (the grandfather of HRH Crown Prince Alexander). The architects were Zivojin Nikolic and Nikolay Krassnoff of the Royal Academy. The palace is made of white stone in the Serbian-Byzantine style. Attached to The Royal Palace there is a Royal Chapel dedicated to Saint Apostle Andrew The First-Called, the Patron Saint of The Royal Family. NIKOLA TESLA MUSEUM The hall of unimaginable ideas. It is a unique institution of science and culture in Serbia and in the world. It is the only museum in

the world which preserves the original and personal inheritance of Nikola Tesla. THE TEMPLE OF SAINT SAVA Orthodox city hallmark. It is an Orthodox church which is dedicated to Saint Sava, founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The church is being built at the place where in 1595 Sinnan Pasha had the holy relics of St. Sava burned at the stake, after he had them brought over from the Mileseva Monastery. Because of its dominant position in Belgrade s cityscape, it represents the most monumental building in the city. ROYAL OPLENAC-TOPOLA AND ALEKSANDROVIC WINERY Following the ways of the royal family. Oplenac is a historic place which is consisted of mausoleum of the Serbian Royal Family. The Church of St. Djordje on the hill of Oplenac was built as a temple and mausoleum of the Royal family Karadjordjevic. This monumental church represents the pearl of architecture and decoration of the time and is built in the Serbian-Byzantine style as a fivecupola building. Copies of frescoes from 60 Serbian monasteries are gathered in the Oplenac church. The endowment of King Petar I contains the church of St.Djordje, Petar s house, new opened Gallery (The house of vinogradar) and Karadjordje s fortified town. All this represents the unique monument of the cultural-historical heritage of the Serbian people. Oplenac with its hilly terrains represents a perfect place for growing grapes. Aleksandrovic family is more than a hundred years engaged in grape growing and wine-making. Beside its basic activity of wine production, this family deals with the wine tourism at its highest level as well. The winery Aleksandrovic gives you the opportunity to feel the magic from where it is generated.

ADA CIGANLIJA Favourite leisure spot. On the river Sava, close to where it flows into the Danube, just 4 km from the city center, lies Ada Ciganlija, at one time an island, now a peninsula. Covered with thick deciduous trees and dotted with clearings and fields, Ada has become the largest, most beautiful and most popular picnic spot, bathing beach and place to relax in Belgrade. The Sava Lake is surrounded by more than 7 km of well-kept shingle beaches, whose water is warmer and cleaner than in the river. The lake is ideal for mass recreation. Places to visit around Belgrade: NOVI SAD Quiet walk through history and present. Novi Sad is the capital of the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina and the administrative centre of the South Backa District. Situated on the Danube River between Budapest and Belgrade, it is a treasured regional and cultural centre. It is the second largest city in the Republic Serbia. The town was established in the 17th century as settlement of artisans and merchants on the left bank of the Danube River. Almost everyone who visits Novi Sad is taken by its laid-back vibe. People are easy-going and known throughout Serbia for their philosophy of eating, drinking and living in the slow lane. Visit Petrovaradin Fortress the most important symbol of Novi Sad, nowdays a home to artist s studios and a museum. Enjoy in beautiful atmosphere of Novi Sad. Take a stroll of the city and visit interesting streets, corners, beautiful parks. Get to know the new philosophy of living!

FRUSKA GORA NATIONAL PARK The mountain of monasteries. The Fruska Gora National Park sits on the lone mountain that rises up from the Vojvodina plains in the north of Serbia. Fruska Gora is proclaimed a National Park in 1960 and hides 16 orthodox monasteries famous for their specific architecture, treasuries, libraries and frescoes and numerous archeological sites from prehistoric and historic times as well. Founded between the 12th and 15th centuries, orthodox monasteries were the focal point of the spiritual and cultural life of Serbs during the Turkish occupation. Wine tasting at the many vineyards located here is also a popular activity. The park has many picnic areas and offers many opportunities for hiking, biking, hunting and fishing. SREMSKI KARLOVCI A town of culture in any sense of the word.

This is a small town on the Danube bank, 6 km away from Novi Sad, called a town-museum, due to its remarkably preserved town nucleus in the baroque style, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Take a stroll the Sremski Karlovci and you will feel like you are in some distant time. Everything is authentic, well-kept and ready to guest everybody who wants to discover history of this region. On your way through Sremski Karlovci, you can see the Patriarchal Palace (displaying artefacts from the treasury of the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church) orthodox churches (Cathedral, Lower and Upper Churches), a Roman Catholic church, Museum of the City, City Hall (Magistrat) from whose balcony Serbian Vojvodina was declared in 1848. By all means visit the museum of honey and sample wines in wine cellars. Sremski Karlovci is famous for its authentic liqueur wine, Bermet, rumoured to have been enjoyed by those on the Titanic.
