At a glance Take a journey through India s past and present as you visit the cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Gaze in wonder at the Taj Mahal, one of the world s most iconic symbols of love; tour the grand pink-washed palaces of Rajasthan; and soak up the electric atmosphere of Delhi s marketplaces. The itinerary Day 1 Australia Delhi Depart from Sydney for Delhi and fly with either Cathay Pacific, China Southern Airlines or Singapore Airlines, to name a few (subject to availability). Upon arrival, be met by the tour representative and receive a welcome garland at the airport. Travel to the first hotel and while check-in is organised a representative will hand over the welcome folder and brief you on the tour programme. Due to flight scheduling and availability, some departures may occur on day 0. Affected customers must be at the airport the night before. Flight times will be indicated on your final documents at least 4 weeks prior to departure. Overnight: Delhi (standard or premium hotel option) Meals included: In flight Day 2 Delhi city tour After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Red Fort, made famous by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan; and Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Visit Chandni Chowk, which is the main street of Old Delhi in the colourful shopping bazaar. Head to Laxminarayan Temple, a site dedicated to the goddess of prosperity and good fortune, and then see India Gate, which is a 42m high stone arch of triumph war memorial. The tour continues with a visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the palatial home of India s President. Afterwards, visit the beautiful Lotus Temple, where those of faith can pray or meditate. Overnight: Delhi (standard or premium hotel option) Day 3 Delhi Jaipur The Pink City After breakfast, travel to Jaipur and then check-in to your hotel for the evening, where dinner will be provided. Jaipur is instantly recognisable for its pink-washed buildings and the colour is associated with hospitality in Rajput culture. Jaipur is a city where royalty still lives in the grandeur of its palaces and where treating guests like gods has been a tradition since time immemorial. From Jaipur s colourful bazaars, beautiful parks, attractive monuments and heritage hotels once the residences of Maharajas, almost everything in this city is worth a visit. Overnight: Jaipur (standard or premium hotel option) and dinner Day 4 Jaipur city tour and Amber Fort Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Begin with a morning excursion to Amber Fort (Amer). Located 11km from Jaipur, it was the old fort of the Kachwaha clan of Amber and was built with white marble and red sandstone. The building is a beautiful sight to behold, but its clear reflection on Maota Lake, which it overlooks, is even more spectacular. In the afternoon, take part in a city tour visiting the City Palace, the former royal residence built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles. There s also the Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and the Lakshmi Narayan Temple. Overnight: Jaipur (standard or premium hotel option). Day 5 Jaipur Chandi Baori Stepwell Fatehpur Sikri Agra After breakfast, depart for Agra and visit Chandi Baori Stepwell on the way, located opposite Harshat Mata temple. Continue on to Fatehpur Sikri, which was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its stunning complex of pavilions and palaces spread amongst a large abandoned city. Check-in to your hotel when you arrive in Agra, the quintessential Mughal city, where the Taj Mahal sits as one of the wonders of the world. The itinerary Day 6 Taj Mahal and Agra Fort After breakfast, go on a city tour visiting the Taj Mahal, built by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Besides the Taj, the Agra Fort (also called the Red Fort) makes for an impressive sight. Tour Guide vs Tour Leader Tour Guide: Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. Tour Leader: An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily Page 7 India s golden triangle includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured. Coach tour Meals: 8 meals are included in the tour. For all other meals, lunches and dinners, the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. You can also enquire about any allergies and food and if necessary advise meals to be to be prepared with any medication you require. The premium package meals consist of breakfast and dinner daily starting with breakfast on day 2 and finishing with breakfast on day 8. Luggage: You will be responsible for all your personal belongings while on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and offloading of their luggage from the coach. Gratuities: Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip for the tour leader and driver is 300 rupees ($6 AUD) per person per day, which will be collected whilst on tour.

Other important information Fitness level required/mobility: Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so unfortunately our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile. A general level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel. Visas A tourist visa for India is a strict requirement if travelling on an Australian Passport. Please start arranging your visa at least 3 weeks prior to departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours. Passengers who are not Australian citizens must check with the respective consulate or a visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required. Name changes due to passenger error If the incorrect name has been advised to the NRMA, charges of $150.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/other travel provider will apply.
