Develpment f an advanced winterizatin unit fr the existing Kizilay family tent Prduct requirements: Gd thermal insulatin (R value between.5 and 1 m2.k/w) Fire retardant Breathable IR reflective inside Lw cst 3
Advanced winterizatin unit SPEEDKITS team (SIOEN, Centexbel & IFRC-SRU) develped tw dedicated islative tent materials based n advanced nnwven laminates with the fllwing materials prperties: Thermal cnductivity =.41 Thickness = 2 cm r 4 cm, thus resulting in thermal insulatin values f.5 m2.k/w and 1 m2.k/w, resp. Ca. 6 and 15 g/m2, resp. IR reflective Breathable Mechanically reinfrced Excellent fire retardancy, i.e. B-s2, d accrding t EN 1351-1; B1 accrding t German nrms, and M1 accrding t French nrms 4
Advanced winterizatin unit After industrial prductins f bth types f insulatin materials (R =.5 m2.k/w and 1 m2.k/w, resp.) these materials were used t prduce 2 different inner tents (35 x 411 cm) fr the Kizilay shelter. 5
