At this stage it appears that the show will roughly break even. Invoices have been issued to Fiat Lancia, Alfa Romeo and the VW club for historic plates.

5. REPORTS 5.1 Code 404 (Maurice Davin) No formal report. Recent Code 404 licensing has worked smoothly. There have been some questions the forms, minor changes will be made in due course. Query on why clubs are asked to specify the financial membership start date Maurice to take on board in further discussions. The recent difficulty with examiners was due to their not holding the relevant license. 5.2 Motor Museum (Kelvin Ferris) The Motor Museum had 11 people on the Classic Car Show gates. Willing to do this again next year. Paul Markham expressed his thanks. The Motor Museum is still looking for donations for glass cabinets (approx. $1000 ea). ACTION clubs and club members to consider Anticipate that the Motor Museum extension will be opened in mid June. Official opening may be a bit later. 5.3 CMC Technical Committee (John McLean) There have been 11 applications for unique and historic, 6 were approved and 5 declined. 5.4 AHMF (Neville Horner) The AGM will be held on 18 & 19th August 2017 in Perth ACTION Neville to liaise with the Motor Museum for meeting use 5.5 Classic Car show General discussion on costs, what worked well and what could be improved. Turnout was a bit down this year, only 512 vehicles. Probably due to weather forecast and new venue. Feedback from public and club members was very positive. Traders were very happy, keen to participate next year. Debrief meeting for the committee at the VCC, next Monday at 7 pm. ACTION clubs to provide further feedback before debrief meeting 5.6 Quiz Night (Paul Markham) SIVA will be hosting the quiz night at the Maylands Sports Club on Friday 21st July. Currently 109 financial member clubs. 9 clubs have still not sent in their annual update. These are: A Series Car Club ClubMINI (WA) Inc. Early Falcon Car Club WA Mercedes Benz Car Club of W.A. Mini Car Club of WA Nickeltown Flounders Inc Rolls Royce OCA (WA) Suzuki Four Wheel Drive Club West Coast Commodores Inc Reminders were sent out on 1 st May. Some clubs have not been waiting for the annual request and have been sending in updates immediately after their AGM. This approach is preferred. 6.4 2017-18 Fees Membership fees will remain at $75. Invoices to be issued at beginning of next month. Due on 1 st July. Clubs requested to pay by direct transfer if possible. 6.4 Committee The Committee elected Paul Markham as the replacement Chairperson of the Classic Car Show Committee. 7. GENERAL BUSINESS 7.1 Digitising of old Channel 9 Motor Shows (Paul Blank to coordinate) Donations received to date from: Bentley Drivers Club ($400) Avon Valley Vintage Vehicle Association ($200) VMCCWA ($200) Pledges were received from the following clubs and invoices have been sent out. VW Club Fiat Lancia Club ($200) The Holden Car Club and the 567 Chev Club also advised that they will donate. ACTION Neville to check updates with Paul and re-issue request

7.2 Proposed changes to car importation rules (on hold) 7.3 Enforcement of asbestos ban for imported vehicles The TSOA had sent in a letter from Personal Import stating that the Border Force is now enforcing the ban on asbestos parts in vehicles imported into Australia. Paul Markham s vehicle is currently impounded and it has been very difficult to work through the release process. An exemption should be requested. ACTION Neville to check status with AHMF and push for national action ACTION Paul to provide a case history to help this push 7.4 Attendance at Interstate Events. Peter Boreham noted that the Code 404 Information Booklet states that that events must be organised by an approved club. And approved clubs are only those in WA approved by the Dept of Transport. If the event is organised by an interstate club then doesn t this mean that this does not comply with the Code 404 requirements. The general view was that the intent was key and that a WA approved club could organise to attend an interstate event that was primarily organised by another party. 7.5 National Motoring Heritage Day Geoff reminded attendees that this is on again this year on the 21 st May. All owners are encouraged to take their vehicles out for a drive. Some more publicity would be good. ACTION Barry Ebedes to discuss with Alex Forrest to get an article in the West 8. NEXT MEETING Next meeting will be on Monday 19 th June 2017 at 8 pm, at the Bassendean Community Hall, Lesser Hall.
