L Atmosphère NOx measurements at Puy de Dome Aurélie COLOMB «CO-PDD»
History of the PUY atmospheric research station 1871 : Emile Alluard, professor at the University of Clermont- Ferrand Construction of Observatoire Météorologique du puy de Dôme. 1876 : Finalisation of the observatory ; first measurement
Research Station at the top of puy de Dôme The puy de Dôme Research Station, central France, is located at 1465 m asl on the first mountain chain facing dominant western winds. PDD is inside boundary layer during daytime in spring/summer, PDD is representative of free troposphere during night and rest of the year. Air Mass Origins : Marine (Dominant western winds) Marine (modified United Kingdom) Continental Mediterranean 20000 0 315 45 Marine (modified) Marine Continental 270 0 90 225 135 Mediterranean 180

Start-up of a national RI for Aerosol, Cloud and Trace Gases consistant with the EU ACTRIS RI At the national Scale for Trace gases : Transverse activities over the sites + Airborne measurements Including calibration facilities (Mines Douai) in addition of the WCC-NOx Objectives : - Comparison mobile reference instr. - Station audits - to harmonize and improve procedures for measurement, calibration and data validation - to reach ACTRIS Data Quality Objective (or to be as close as possible of the DQO)
