Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 09/11/2016 3:35am 26000 W Twelve Mile (Commercial- Swimwear) 26000 W Twelve Mile (Commercial- Food) Both businesses had their windows broken out with a rock. Officers were dispatched to business on report of the store's front glass door being busted out. There was also a second store that had its window busted out. Upon arrival, Officers noticed that the front glass door on both businesses had been busted out with a large rock, which was on the floor inside. There was also currency lying on the floor inside business near the entrance. Owner stated that her cash register was stolen from the front counter. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician was on scene for processing. Latent prints were developed. Surveillance video showed a bald headed, possibly male, enter the store at 3:35am and take cash from the register. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 09/10/2016 11:45am 21000 Berg Rd. Attempt on door handle. Victim states she was lying on her couch in the home's front room, main level, when she heard the porch steps make a noise. Victim was immediately alerted because she knew no one should be walking up that step onto the porch. Victim grabbed her 2 year old daughter and fled to an upstairs bedroom. Victim then yelled at whoever was on the porch. The suspect then fled through the backyard. Victim describes the suspect as a thin B/M possibly in his early 20's. The suspect was wearing a dark blue hoodie with no obvious writing on the back, dark blue or black jeans and white tennis shoes. Officers located a subject in the 21000 Block of Berg Rd that matched the description of suspect. The suspect s pants were also wet towards the bottom of his pant legs. The suspect was identified and released due to the victim not being able to identify the suspect.. It is unknown how entry was gained. No suspect information. Victim states his vehicle was stolen sometime between Wednesday September 8, 2016@ 8:30pm & Friday September 9, 2016@ 5:52am. It is unknown how entry was gained. No suspect information.

09/11/2016 3:00pm 21000 Hidden River Dr. (Residential- Condo s) Status SR - Both Stolen And Recovered Manufacturer FORD Model EXPEDITION Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2010 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2016 Description White 2016 Ford Expedition Recovered Date/Time 09/11/2016 10:17pm R/P was in possession of his mother's vehicle, a 2010 White Ford Expedition. R/P was with his wife at residence. He went Upstairs to sleep. At approximately 3:00pm when he awoke, the keys and the vehicle were missing. R/p believes the third person who was at the residence when he went upstairs to sleep took the vehicle. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 09/06/2016 1:30pm 21000 Lahser Rd. (Private- Country Club) Credit Card and Cash was taken from the center console of victims 2015 Chrysler 300. Victim parked his 2015 Red Chrysler 300 in the 21000 Block of Lahser Rd. When he returned to the vehicle, his Credit Card and undisclosed amount of cash was gone. The items were in the center console. He was able to look at surveillance video and it shows a B/M in his 30's, 5'10-5'11, 170-180 lbs., wearing a white hat and a white shirt with the word Detroit on it entering into the vehicle from the rear driver side door. The time was 1:30pm. Victim s vehicle was not locked and there was no damage. The surveillance video shows the suspect leaving in a White Pick Up. 09/07/2016 4:10pm 26000 Evergreen Rd. (Commercial Office Parking Structure) Navigation System was taken from Chrysler 200. Officers were dispatched to the 26000 Block of Evergreen Rd. (Office Building Parking Structure) to assist another Police Department. Plain Clothes Officers from another local jurisdiction witnessed an Attempt LFA and an LFA of a Navigation System on the second floor of the parking structure and had two suspects in custody. The suspects were stopped at the exit of the parking structure in a Gold 2008 Chevy Impala. The stolen navigation system and tools were recovered from the suspect s vehicle. One of the suspects also had his 2 daughters in the car ages 6 and 7. Southfield Officers took custody of the two suspects for Larceny from Auto. The suspect with his children was also charged with Child Endangerment. The children were turned over to family members.

From: 09/08/2016 1:00am To: 09/08/2016 9:00am 16000 North Park Dr. (Residential- Apartments) -2012 Chrysler 300. Window broken out and there was an attempt to take the vehicles In-Dash Navigation System. -2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Window broken out and In-Dash Navigation System was taken. Victim states sometime between 1:00am- 9:00am someone broke out the driver s side rear window, gained entry into vehicle and attempted to take the vehicles In-Dash Navigation System. Officers Investigating located several other vehicles in the parking lot that were attacked. All the vehicles attacked were Chrysler products and their Navigation Systems were stolen. There was also a Black Chrysler Mini Van that was attacked but the owner couldn t be located at this time. -2014 Dodge Ram Pick Up Truck. Window broken out and In-Dash Navigation System was taken. From: 09/08/2016 1:00am To: 09/08/2016 7:00am 17000 Adrian St. I Pad was taken from 2016 Chevy Corvette. Victim states his I Pad was stolen out of his vehicle on Thursday September 8, 2016 sometime between 1:00am & 7:00am. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. No suspect information.

09/09/2016 2:11pm 21000 Colony Park Cir. (Residential- Apartments) Lunch Box and Cell Phone were taken from victims 2009 Ford Pick Up Truck. Victim was working at the Apartment Complex at the time of the alleged incident. Victim states he left his Camouflage Igloo Lunch Box and his Cell Phone inside his unlocked vehicle with passenger side window down. Prior to discovering items missing from his vehicle victim observed a Black Larger SUV, a large B/M and an older couple in a sedan type vehicle in the parking lot. No subjects were ever observed at the victims work vehicle. Victim thinks they might be responsible. Victim, later reported that he recovered his cooler, cell phone, and identification in a garbage can at a Gas Station at 12 Mile & Evergreen Rd. A painter that was working at the Gas Station recovered the items. The items that were still missing and stolen were victim s wallet, two beverages, and a set of keys.

09/09/2016 2:18pm 25000 Southfield Rd. (Commercial- Party Store) Back Pack Blower was taken from the bed of victims 2015 Chevy Silverado. Victim stated that he was parked in the parking lot located on the east side of the 25000 Block of Southfield Rd. (Party Store) Victim stated that he was eating inside his truck when an unknown B/M walked up to his truck and stole an Back Pack Blower from the bed of his truck. The suspect then entered the rear seat of an Older Gray SUV. (Possibly Suburban or Yukon) and the vehicle pulled onto W.B. Ten Mile Rd. Victim exited the lot and pulled his truck behind the suspect vehicle that was stopped for the red signal in the right through lane. The suspect vehicle fled the area and victim lost sight of the vehicle. A witness later confirmed victims accounting of what occurred. Suspect #1- B/M, dark complexion, early to mid. 20 s sitting in the rear seat. Suspect #2- B/M, light complexion, early to mid. 20 s sitting in the front passenger seat. Suspect# 3- BM, no further description operating the vehicle.

Suspect Vehicle: Status S Suspect Vehicle Color GRY - Gray Description Older gray SUV, possibly a Yukon or Suburban Notes Suspects fled in the listed vehicle. Witnesses stated that it was a Yukon, victim was unsure but stated it was possibly a Suburban. From: 09/10/2016 12:00am To: 09/10/2016 8:30am 26000 American Dr. (Hotel) TV, Laptop, Glasses, and a Karaoke Microphone were taken from victims 2004 Chevy Express GS1500. Victim states he parked his van in the parking lot at the Hotel at 12:00am. When he walked out to his car the following morning at approx. 8:30am he observed the rear passenger window of his vehicle broken out. Also a TV was removed from its bracket which was mounted on the roof of the van along with several other items that were taken from the interior of the vehicle.

From: 09/09/2016 9:00pm To: 09/10/2016 9:30am 15000 Town Center (Hotel) Laptop was taken from 2001 Mazda Tribute. Victim states sometime between 9:00pm and the following morning at 9:30am someone gained entry by unknown means and took victims Laptop. From: 09/10/2016 7:00pm To: 09/11/2016 5:00pm 17000 Mt. Vernon Laptop was taken from Lincoln MKX. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked Victim states sometime between 7:00pm and the following day at 5:00pm someone ransacked her vehicle and took her laptop. There were no signs of forced entry but when victim started her vehicle the windows started going up and down on their own? Possibly indicating tampering.

Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 09/11/2016 4:44pm Evergreen Rd. & Winchester St. Nothing was taken. Three victims (juveniles) were walking S/B on Evergreen near Winchester. A Black Ford F-150, 2-dr, older model, with a lawn mower in the bed of the truck, stopped in the roadway near them. Five suspects, one with a handgun exited the vehicle and began to pat them down and told them to empty their pockets. Suspect #1 was the front passenger of the suspect vehicle. He is a b/m, 250lbs wearing a black shirt and grey shorts, brandished a black semi-automatic handgun. Suspect #2 was the driver of the suspect vehicle. He is a w/m, shirtless with black jogging pants, tattoos on his chest/stomach, brown hair, and had a goatee. Suspect #3 was the rear passenger. He is a w/m, shirtless, clean shaven, short brown hair, and has no tattoos. Suspect #4 was the rear passenger. He is a b/m, 5 11, with short hair, goatee, with a grey shirt. Suspect #5 was the rear passenger with no description. Suspect #5 stayed near the suspect vehicle in the roadway. Suspects went through victims pockets. Finding nothing of value suspects retreated back into their vehicle and left s/b evergreen towards Eleven Mile.

Note: The suspects in this incident had 2- small children ages 6 & 7 in their vehicle with them while committing the LFA. 3) 21000 Block of Colony Park Cir. 1- LFA (Apartment Complex)

4) 16000 Block of North Park Dr. 4- LFA s (Apartment Complex) Vehicles had their windows broken out and the In-Dash Navigation Systems were taken. 5) 26000 Block of American Dr. 1- LFA (Hotel) 6) 25000 Block of Southfield Rd. 1- LFA (Party Store) Blower was taken out of the bed of victim s truck while the victim was eating his lunch! 7) 15000 Block of Town Center 1- LFA (Hotel) A&B/ Resisting Officer- 1- Arrest 09/05/2016 8:54am 21000 Northwestern Hwy (Bus Stop) Officers were dispatched to the Bus Stop to investigate A&B that had just occurred there. Officer located the victim. Victim stated she had just been assaulted & choked by an unknown B/M wearing a purple shirt with a striped neck tie on. Victim was smoking a blunt at the time. Suspect took the blunt from her and fled towards the McDonalds in Oak Park. Officer located suspect walking s/b on Greenfield Rd. When told to stop the suspect fled on foot from Officer. The suspect ran a short distance and then stopped. He was taken into custody by Officers.

Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. Possession of Marijuana/ Cocaine- 1- Arrest 09/10/2016 6:33pm Telegraph Rd. & Hazelhurst St. K-9 Officer conducted traffic stop (Traffic Violation). After making the stop and walking up to the vehicle Officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Additional Officers arrived on scene and the driver of the vehicle gave consent to search the vehicle. K-9 Officer conducted a sweep of vehicle. K-9 indicated positive alerts on several areas within the interior of the vehicle. A search of those areas resulted in the recovery of Suspected Marijuana and Suspected Cocaine. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected substances. Both were positive for possible presence of controlled substances. - If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers as much information about the suspect(s) and suspect vehicles as you can. Stay on the phone with Dispatchers until the Police arrive.

-Lots of lighting around the area(s) that you park your vehicles is also very beneficial. Criminals don t like to work in well lighted areas. They prefer to work in darkness because it s difficult to see them. Possession of Cocaine- 1- Arrest 09/11/2016 10:28pm 23300 Telegraph Rd. (Motel) Officers were conducting a Property Inspection in the 23000 Block of Telegraph Rd due to drug and prostitution complaints. Officers observed a suspicious occupied vehicle parked in the back of the parking lot. Officers investigated and after approaching vehicle a strong odor of marijuana could be detected from the interior of the vehicle. When the driver was asked to step out of the vehicle he was observed by Officers grabbing a plastic baggie containing white substance from a cup holder. He attempted to conceal it in his pocket. Officers confiscated suspected Cocaine from suspect and also recovered a crack pipe with suspected cocaine from the vehicle. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected Cocaine. The result was positive for possible presence of Cocaine. The driver was taken into custody for Possession of Cocaine.

Domestic A&B- 1- Arrest 09/11/2016 8:18am 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the Hotel. The front desk clerk called the police because a female in one of the rooms called asking for police. Officers arrived and located combatants. The male was bleeding profusely from his mouth and the female was holding a knife. Investigation revealed that the two were clubbing the night prior and the female was mad because the male half was talking with other women. When the male half attempted to leave the room the female blocked his exit and at some point cut the males lip with the knife. The female was taken into custody for F/A and the knife was confiscated.

CCW/ Possession of Stolen Property- 1- Arrest 09/07/2016 8:58pm W Eight Mile Rd. & Northland Dr. Officers stopped vehicle after observing Reckless Driving. After stopping the vehicle Officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A K-9 Officer was summoned to do a sweep of the vehicle. K-9 arrived, conducted a sweep of vehicle and alerted to the area near the driver s seat. After searching the vehicle a handgun was located in the trunk of the vehicle. The handgun was also reported stolen. The driver was arrested for CCW and Possession of Stolen Property.

Domestic A&B/ Resisting Officer- 1- Arrest 09/11/2016 3:12am 21000 Block of Seminole St. Officers responded to A&B in progress in the street in front of residence. Officers arrived into area and observed female (victim) running down the street with two children. Right behind them was a male subject (suspect) chasing the female. When the suspect saw the Police coming into the area he continued running and fled from Officers into a back yard of one of the nearby residences. It was later discovered that the suspect had assaulted female and her two children and took victims cell phone when she attempted to call 911. A perimeter was set up and a K-9 Unit was called in. A Southfield Police K-9 responded and began a track to locate suspect. The track revealed that the suspect may be heading back towards the victims residence. When Officers went back to the residence it was found to be locked up. Victim stated when she fled the residence she didn t lock any of the doors. Suspecting the suspect was now in the residence the residence was unlocked. K-9 Officer announced his presence and advised if the suspect was in the residence he was under arrest and to come out. He was also advised that if he didn t come out a K-9 would be released into the residence and he could be injured. The suspect yelled out that he was coming out but then fled upstairs and outside onto the roof of the residence. Officers were able to talk the suspect down off of the roof. He was taken into custody for Domestic A&B & Resisting Officers.
