Nov. 26 Day 13 Cusco Machu Picchu Urubamba Valley Following a delicious breakfast, we will take a Scenic Train Ride, through the beautiful Urubamba Valley to the small town of Aguas Calientes, named for the nearby hot springs. What we have been awaiting Machu Picchu! We board our coach and head up to the famous & impressive ruins of MACHU PICCHU for a tour of the Lost City of the Incas. (No, you do NOT have to walk!) Our tour will provide us with a better understanding of its history, archeology and significance. Archeologists presume that Machu Picchu was a religious center, but the exact meaning of the city remains a mystery. This LOST City of the Incas has an inexplicable magic. Perched atop a mountain spur covered with lush vegetation overlooking the Rio Urubama Valley, it is now a tranquil place filled with beauty & enchantment. But do try to imagine what it was like as a thriving city before it was abandoned in 1534. One can (almost) feel the presence of the worshippers of the Inca Sun God Inti, among magnificent ruins of houses, temples, baths, and plazas which are all connected by roads and steps, & surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side. What an Incredible Day. Following our memorable visit, we re-board the train and journey to Ollantaytambo in the Urubamaba Valley. (B / L / D) Nov. 27 Day 14 Urubamba Valley - Cusco Our day begins with breakfast in our hotel. We now depart to visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which surrounds Cusco. This morning we enjoy a leisurely & scenic drive through the fertile countryside to the colonial village of Pisac, at the entrance to the Sacred Valley. Pisac is a typical Andean market town seemingly unchanged for centuries. During our visit to the bustling marketplace, we have the opportunity to bargain with the natives for many different types of Peruvian handicrafts and jewelry. You can also try your bargaining with the savvy market vendors in the village! Day 14 Cont d Peruvians are fun & friendly & this is fun bartering, not aggressive! Following lunch, we visit Ollantaytambo the Impressive Inca Fortress Ruin which overlooks the town and was the base of the last Inca stronghold. We return to Cusco in the late afternoon, enjoying a Scenic Drive Enroute. Tonight s Dinner is in the comfort of our hotel. (B / L / D) Nov. 28 Day 15 Cusco Lima Wednesday This morning s guided adventure will includes the Red Fortress of Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay - a beautiful fountain fed by a spring forming a series of basins. We will also visit Sacsayhuaman Fortress, considered to be the first of the modern Seven Wonders of the World. The fortress covers an area of 3,000 hectares, two kilometers north of Cusco. The site is considered unique in the world, due to its singular architectural characteristics. Should time allow, we will make a visit Kenko, a rock sanctuary whose main attraction is a monolithic altar representing a puma. We will stop for lunch and now transfer to the airport for a flight to Lima. Tonight, you will be sure to enjoy a Special Farewell Dinner. A chance to socialize with our tour group and reminisce about all the wondrous sights we have seen over the past number of days. (B / D) Nov. 29 Thursday Day 16 Lima - Canada Transfer to the Lima International Airport for our flight back to Toronto, Canada and then connecting to Vancouver or Calgary flights. All good things come to an end. The memories and the photographs of this wonderful country, its people and its history will stay with us forever. We do hope you have enjoyed your experiences in PERU welcome you to travel with us, in the future. Ron Truly Hopes You Have Enjoyed Your Vacation to Peru!

PERU South America What Clients Have To Say I had always been intrigued by the Incas after reading Lost City of the Incas by Hiram Bingham. The tour to Peru was marvelous. From the Jungle visit of indigenous tribes to the Lost City itself Machu Picchu. The whole journey and adventure was worth every step. I now have the task of going through the multitude of photos which I took and the enjoyment of reliving this experience all over again. This was one of the best trips I have ever taken. Olive M. Fort McMurray, AB This was an incredible tour, Peru is a country we always wanted to visit. Ron, your tour, was once again, the best out there! I do not think we could have chosen a better one! Ron Booiman is an incredible Tour Manager, very experienced and knowledgeable. It is so hard to choose our favourite part of the tour - we loved the sightseeing, the people, the itinerary flowed so well, and so much value for our dollar! Again, thank you Ron. Charlie and Nancy - Edmonton, AB In my estimation, this tour ranks next to our African Safari tour, which we took a few years back. (with Ron) An experience never forgotten. Russ A. - Vernon, BC I really appreciated your thoroughness and attention that you put into this tour, I always felt you had my best interest in mind. I will remember the thrill of climbing to the top of Machu Picchu and seeing the skills of the Incas with my own eyes, for a very long time. The apprehension of stepping onto the floating reed islands and the ride on the reed boat as well, as knowing I would soon starve if I had to rely on my skills with the blow gun in the Amazon! Thanks so much for making so many dreams a reality Ruth K. - Edmonton, AB Our tour to Peru was everything I had envisioned. The diversity of this small South America country is amazing. I can certainly understand the necessity of flying within Peru, it makes you wonder how the Spanish managed between the jungle and the Andes Mountains. Machu Picchu and the Amazon is certainly a highlight but I really enjoyed the interactions with the local Peruvians. You could sense the comradery between the various local guides and Ron and their joking. Once again, this tour was another success. I am looking forward to next year. Agnes & Frank Oshawa ON
