The Costa Smeralda is the recent designation of the coast of Gallura. It is a part of the territory of Arzachena. Born in 1962, by the hand of Prince Karim Aga Khan, the Costa Smeralda Consortium gave considerable thrust to the holiday industry in Sardinia.
