Fashion Sale Raises Plenty Irene L, Maria K, Anne R and Judi A checking out the finery at the Fashion Sales Extravaganza. Cathy N and Shirle K give Ray a hand in opening up his wallet at the Fashion Sales Extravaganza. The international committee has proved yet again that new ideas and innovative ways of raising funds are always available. Over last week end the Fashion Sales raised over $7,000 and thanks to the hard work from dedicated members the success can only be built on for next year. District Conference in Launceston 12-15 March, 2009. We have a group of 20 who have committed to attend, and we are already assured a good time will be had by all.but, I have a feeling there are others among you who are likely to go who haven t given it the necessary thought just yet however, you need to do so now There are significant issues with accommodation availability in Launceston over that period. I have my foot on enough accommodation (at Peppers Seaport), for 24 people so there are two rooms left in that allocation. I think I could get a couple more rooms if I ask for them in the next week or so. After that, I can t guarantee that we will (a) be able to get you accommodation at all, or (b) if we can, it wont be where everyone else from the club are staying. Please see Thomo or myself if you intend going. GOLF! Did anyone say GOLF! Alf Puglia and Glenn Smith share a joke while counting up the thousands raised at the Golf day. Two very stylish Golfers in Michael Caris and Veronica O Sullivan strut there stuff at the RCE Golf day held at Medway Golf Course Friday 21 st November. For the second year in a row the annual RCE Golf Day has been held at Medway Golf Course with outstanding success. With over 70 golfers playing there was plenty of room to enjoy the day and drive that dollar further. Pres Nominee Glenn Smith thinks the final tally will raise over $15,000 with half going to local community projects and half going to Baha Tulyan in the Philipines. WELCOME TO THE NEW LOOK RCE! Michael Mahoney shows Ray Landgren the new look pop ups that he has organised for the RCE lunchtime meetings. The Corporate style is in keeping with everything the club is doing to market itself to the community at large and we are lifting our image in the corporate world said Michael. From where I m sitting it looks Pretty Snappy! Well done Michael.
