Seasonal Camping Sanctuary Masai Mara Seasonal Camp is located on a private concession on the banks of the Mara River and is operational from 30 June to 31 October, when the great Wildebeest migration is nearby. The spacious en-suite tents overlook the Mara River, where the resident hippos spend their days wallowing. A wide range of game and cultural activities are available. Page 2 of 7
Spacious Safari Tents There are nine spacious safari tents offering en-suite bathrooms with running water and indoor bucket showers. Each tent provides a hairdryer, mosquito nets, comfortable furniture and hand woven rugs. There are solar-powered bedside reading lamps and an overhead light. The large entrance of the tent creates a perfect view and special netting is fitted to allow the breeze to pass through. Page 3 of 7
Game Viewing The Masai Mara is legendary for its abundance of wildlife. Excellent for seeing big cats and the Big Five all year round and is also the stage for the greatest show on Earth - the Great Wildebeest migration. From around July to October, millions of grunting wildebeest and zebra cover the plains often crossing the Mara River and moving between Tanzania and Kenya, where opportunistic crocodile and predators await. Maasai Culture & Sustainability Guests can visit our award-winning wetlands project, plant a commemorative tree and visit the local Maasai village. Accompanied by an experienced Maasai guide, guests are invited to visit the community to gain an insight into their vibrant way of life. There are several community projects in health care and basic education run by Sanctuary Philanthropy for the local community, which our guest are invited to visit as well. Page 5 of 7
