ACA Symposium Switzerland - location General situation: Switzerland is a verry pricey country. In that way we try to find out the best way to keep the symposium as cheap as possible. Even it is difficult to find close to rivers, which do bring water, at this time of year a cabin or cheap hotel (approx US$60/night/p). Camping and tenting is not a problem, but we will have at this time of year temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius and even sometimes snowfall. Rivers, which do bring water at this time of this year, are far into the mountains, bringing logistic problems. So we decided to do make a good mix for all. Due to the different guest arriving from cross Europe, we have set the location to a central point within Switzerland and close of central highways. By plain from all cities to Zurich Airport At the Airport, take the S2 leaving into the direction Ziegelbrücke from platform 3. stay for approx 42 minutes in the train and get out at the village/station Wädenswil. Then see further down. By plane from all cities to Basel Airport At the Airport, take the busshuttle to the train station Basel SBB. From there take a IC oder EC direct to Zurich. The ride takes approx 1 h 30 min. Then see further down. By public transportation from Zurich Central Train Station: From Zurich Central station: Take the train S2 leaving into the direction Ziegelbrücke from platform 52 Or The train S8 leaving into the direction Pfäffikon (Sz) from platform 53 The train ride takes approx 23 to 28 minutes Get out at the village/station Wädenswil, from there Take the local bus no 122 or 124 leaving gate B, direction hintere Rüti, after 7 min get out at the station Moosacher and walk 8 min up the street.
