Expulsion a student for a violation of WV Code 18A-5-1a, West Virginia State Board Policy 4373, Pocahontas County Discipline Code and Pocahontas County Student Code of Conduct, for up to one calendar year (W.Va. Code 6-9A-4(B)(3) provides that student disciplinary matters may be decided in Executive Session). 2. Work Session 3. Approval of Minutes from the regular Board of Education meeting held on Monday, January 23, 2017. See attached. 4. Approval of the agenda. 5. Delegations (ten minute limit, unless permission is granted by the president). A written request must be provided to the superintendent no later than fifteen minutes prior to a scheduled Board Meeting to commence in order for the delegation to be heard. PERSONNEL AGENDA February 20, 2017 Professional and Service Personnel PERSONNEL Green Bank Elementary-Middle School: EMPLOYMENT: RICKY I. SHARP, II, as Athletic Director for Green Bank Elementary-Middle School, retroactive to the beginning of the 2016-2017 season, at a supplement of $750. Hillsboro Elementary School: EXTENTION OF UNPAID MEDICAL LEAVE: SHANNON ANDERSON, as Teacher of Early Education at Hillsboro Elementary, retroactive to February 13, 2017 extended through February 17, 2017 returning to work on February 20, 2017. Marlinton Elementary School: REQUESTED TRANSFER: EMPLOYMENT: BARBARA BEARD, from Teacher of Multi-Subjects at Marlinton Elementary School to Teacher of Early Education at Marlinton Elementary School, effective for the 2017-2018 school year, at state basic pay based on degree and experience, term of employment is 200 days. DONDI S. STEMPLE, as Afterschool Tutor at Marlinton Elementary School, retroactive to January 23, 2017, at $20 per hour, 2 hours per day, 2 days per week, through June 1, 2017. Pocahontas County High School: CREATION OF POSITION: Counselor at Pocahontas County High School, effective for the 2017-2018 school year, at state basic pay based on degree and experience, term of employment is 200 days. Pocahontas County Schools: ABOLISHMENT OF POSITION: School Bus Operator for Pocahontas County Schools, retroactive to February 20, 2017, run as follows: Beginning at Marlinton Middle School and traveling South on Route 219 turning left onto County Route 20 (Locust Creek Road) and continuing on County Route 20 turning right onto County Route 31 (Old Browns Town Road) and then traveling South to the Greenbrier County line and back to the covered bridge and on to Denmar and to Hillsboro Elementary School and travel Route 219 North turning onto County Route 219/8 (River Road) traveling in and out and returning to Route 219. Then turning right onto Right onto County Route 219/5 (Old Buckeye Road) traveling to Marlinton Middle School and on to Marlinton Elementary School and ending at Marlinton Middle School. Retroactive to the end of the day on February 14, 2017.

CONSENT CONSENT GARY CUTLIP, as School Bus Operator for Pocahontas County Schools, from his former run of: Beginning at Hillsboro Elementary School at approximately 6:25 AM, turn left on Route 219 South and travel to Beartown Road, picking up students then turning bus and proceed back to Route 219 North to Healing Springs Road, turning in the curve on Healing Springs Road and travel back to Route 219 North across Droop Mountain. Should there be students to pick up in Droop Mountain State Park, travel the Park Road and turning the bus at Ronnie Dean residence and return to Route 219 North traveling to Hillsboro Elementary and unloading students. At approximately 7:50 AM proceed to the Denmar Road to the Game Farm and past Denmar Prison to Locust Creek to Route 219 South to Beartown Road and repeat the route as with the 6:25 AM bus route. SNOW ROUTE: Following 219 South to Beartown Road, remaining on Route 219, turning the bus and following 219 North to Hillsboro School. Student on Beartown, Healing Springs, Droop Mountain State Park Road, Denmar Road, and Locust Creek Roads will meet the bus on Route 219. The bus will not travel those particular roads when a Snow Route has been deemed necessary by the Director of Transportation and/or Superintendent. Beginning at Hillsboro Elementary School turn left on Route 219 South turn left on East Nicholas Road, travel to Denmar Road and turn left on Denmar Road. Begin picking up students at Denmar Road, travel to Locust Creek Road, turn right on Locust Creek Road, travel to 219 turn left on 219 South, travel to Beartown Road, turn left on Beartown Road, travel to turnaround, return to 219 south, turn right on 219 north, travel to Healing Springs Road, turn right on Healing Spring Road, turn right on Healing Springs Road, travel to turnaround, return to 219 north, turn right travel to Hillsboro Elementary School. 2 nd AM run: Repeat of first run beginning to pick up students at East Nicholas Road. SNOW ROUTE: Follow 219 south to Beartown Road, turn left on Beartown Road travel to turnaround, return to 219, and follow Route 219 North to Hillsboro Elementary School. Students on the Beartown, Healing Springs, Droop Mountain State Park Road, Denmar Road, and Locust Creek Roads will meet the bus on Route 219. McCARTY, as School Bus Operator for Pocahontas County Schools, from his former run of: Morning Run: Beginning at PCHS and traveling to Seebert for the first pick up, coming back to the Seebert Lane Road going into Rose Road and Puffenbarger Road and then Coming back out Seebert Lane to Hillsboro Elementary School and from Hillsboro Elementary School traveling Route 219 to Marlinton Middle School, to Route 39, to Route 28 and ending at Pocahontas County High School. SNOW ROUTE: The bus will only travel Route 219 and will meet students at the intersection of the above mentioned roads/lanes or at Hillsboro Elementary School. May pick up students that other buses cannot. Morning Run: Beginning at Pocahontas County High School and traveling to Seebert for the first pick up, coming back to the Seebert Lane Road going into Rose Road and Puffenbarger Road and then coming back out Seebert Lane to

Hillsboro Elementary School and from Hillsboro Elementary School traveling Route 219 to Stephen Hole/River Road turning the bus and traveling to Old Buckeye Road, back to 219 north, to Route 39 to Marlinton Elementary School transferring students then traveling back to Route 39 to Route 28 and ending at Pocahontas County High School. Evening Run: Reverse of morning run. SNOW ROUTE: The bus will only travel Route 219 and will meet students at the intersection of the above mentioned roads/lanes or at Hillsboro Elementary School. SNOW ROUTE: Morning Both high/middle school and elementary runs start on Lobelia Road on the south end of Caesar Mountain & pick up students at their stops on Lobelia Road into Hillsboro. Times follow the standard 2 hour or 3 hour delay schedule whichever is announced. Afternoon reverse of the morning run. May pick up students that other busses cannot. Morning run: From Hillsboro School, go south on Route 219 to the top of Droop Mountain and turn right onto Lobelia Road. Children are to board the bus at designated stops on Lobelia Road through its entire length to Hillsboro. The bus continues on Denmar Road First AM Run: to Workman Road, turns around and back to Hillsboro School via Kinnison and Payne Streets. The bus then unloads all students to a bus enroute for Marlinton Middle School and Pocahontas County High School. 2 nd AM Run: to turn right on Kinnison Street and to Payne Street to the Hillsboro Elementary School unloading at the school cafeteria and to the designated parking area. Afternoon Run: Reverse of the morning run with preference given to full time riders. SNOW ROUTE: Morning: Both high/middle school and elementary runs start on Lobelia Road on the south end of Caesar Mountain and pick up students at their stops on Lobelia Road into Hillsboro. Times follow the standard 2 hour and 3 hour delay schedule whichever is announced. Afternoon: reverse of the morning. May pick up student that other buses cannot. Retroactive to February 15, 2017. SAMPLES, as School Bus Operator for Pocahontas County Schools, from his former run of: Beginning at Marlinton Middle School, take a left, travel to intersection Route 39, take a right, travel to Tabernacle Church and turn in driveway above church at mobile home, proceed to the intersection of Route 219, and take right to Hillsboro Elementary School. Leaving Hillsboro Elementary School, take right on Route 219 north to Spruce Flats Road intersection, turn left, turn at the intersection of Spruce Flats Road and Dry Branch Road, proceed back to intersection of Route 219 to Marlinton Middle School. Leaving Marlinton Middle School turn right on to Route 219 turn left at Waugh Road intersection, proceed through to intersection of Route 219 on to Marlinton Elementary

School. Leaving Marlinton Elementary School travel back to Marlinton Middle School, from Marlinton Middle School proceed to School Days Child Care, turn left and travel to intersection of Route 39 and proceed to the Tabernacle church and turn in driveway of the mobile home and proceed back to intersection of Route 219, turn right and travel to in intersection of Route 219, turn right and travel to the intersection of Seebert Road turn at the old depot lot and travel back to Puffenbarger Road, take a left out to Road, turn left and proceed to Hill Road intersection, turn and travel back to the intersection of Route 219 and turn left, proceed to Hillsboro Elementary School, turn right and return to Marlinton Middle School. SNOW ROUTE: Middle School, leaving Marlinton Middle School, turn right and proceed on 219 North to Marlinton Elementary School. From Marlinton Elementary School proceed to 219 South and travel to Hillsboro Elementary School and return to Marlinton Middle School. May pick up students that other buses cannot. Beginning at Marlinton Middle School, take a left, travel to intersection Route 39, take a right, travel to Tabernacle Church and turn in driveway above church at mobile home, proceed to the intersection of Route 219, and take right to Hillsboro Elementary School.
