THE ITINERARY DAY 1 ARRIVAL Welcome at Faro or Lisbon airport! Our Guide will drive you to Lagos for about 3 hours if you are coming from Lisbon, or simply one hour if you re pickup is at Faro. ACCOMODATION Dom Manuel Hotel I DAY 2 LAGOS to LUZ BEACH The old and narrow streets of the city of Lagos will be your starting point. Heading towards the sea, you can still see evidence of the ancient wall surrounding the town. Later you will be delighted, when you get to Ponta da Piedade, a group of rock formations, formed by dense eroded cliffs that have carved out rocky pillars, natural tunnels and hidden caves, where you can find one of the most beautiful natural scenery of the Algarve coast. Find some quiet and peace to rest at the small town of Luz, by a wonderful beach of pure golden sand. ACCOMODATION Luz Bay Hotel HIKE 13 Kms; + 400 m DAY 3 LUZ BEACH to SALEMA VILLAGE Today is reserved to experience some quiet but lovely local villages and their fishing tradition. The beach of Luz is just perfect! You can enjoy the quiet beautiful beach or just explore some of the ruins of Roman baths from 3rd to 5th century just behind the wall that runs along the promenade. What can we say about Salema? It s a fantastic out-of-the-way and laid-back small-town, an alternative village where you can enjoy the beach and the tasty local gastronomy based on fresh fish from the ocean. DAY 4 Inland SALEMA This is your rest day in Salema, free to enjoy the surroundings by foot or ask a transfer. You have the possibility to discover some typical inland villages, amazing stone pinewood or relax in wonderful beaches. Take your time! ACCOMODATION Casa Praia Mar HIKE 9 Kms; +150m 16km; +300m DAY 5 SALEMA ZAVIAL to SAGRES Today there are two options: start your hike to Sagres in Salema or after a short car transfer, from Zavial. This day is the most challenging day on the program, but also the most spectacular one in natural beauty! Wander through unspoiled secret beaches with lagoons and a coastline almost untouched by Man. You will find a landscape of rare beauty right there for you to discover while you walk along trails on the cliffs. At Baleeira Bay, enjoy an amazing beach of fine sand and five small islands that give this place a unique charm. ACCOMODATION Memmo Baleeira HIKE 18 Kms; +650m 11km; +300m DAY 6 SAGRES to CAPE SÃO VICENTE On the last walking day, you will walk along the high cliffs of Sagres and discover the Cape São Vicente the place where the land ends and the sea begins! The stage for some many battles, Sagres is the southwestern most point in continental Europe and also the place where our brave ancestors sailed on their caravels seeking new adventures and continents five centuries ago!
