1 City buses www.lpp.si Using your Urbana card, you can travel free, environmentally friendly and comfortably on pubic buses both by day and night, unlimited during the card validity period. Upon entering the bus, simply hold the card close to the card reader. A map of the city s bus routes is available on the inside of this brochure s fold-out back cover. Circular ride with the Urban electric train The Urban electric train will take you on an attractive circular tourist trail, which connects the main city attractions from the Town Hall, the Špica embankment with the starting point for the Botanical Garden, the Trnovski pristan embankment, Plečnik House in Krakovo, the Roman wall, Križanke summer theatre, Slovenska cesta street, Kongresni trg square, Parliament and Prešernova cesta street. The passengers are able to get off at the Opera House, to visit the Museum of Modern Art and the National Gallery or take a ride along the Cankarjeva cesta road to the Slovenska cesta road and the Ajdovščina stop and then continue via Dalmatinova ulica street and Miklošičeva cesta road across the Prešernov trg square to the final stop at the Town Hall. In winter time, the carriages are closed and heated, while their windows are opened in the summer time. The castle s Outlook Tower and ramparts offer some of the most beautiful views of the city, while the castle houses a museum exhibition on Slovenian history, a puppet museum, and a number of historical rooms such as the Chapel of St George, the Prison, and a video presentation room called Virtual Castle. Take the funicular to Ljubljana castle and enjoy magnificent views of the city. The lower station is located in the Krekov trg square, across the street from the Ljubljana Central Market.
