Your Pre-cruise Africa and Europe Vacation FAQ What will my experience with the wildlife be like? You will have a guide with you throughout the entire trip. If you need anything, they will always be available. The wild animals you will encounter on safari are not like those found in theme parks - they are not tame. You must listen to the camp/lodge staff and guides. Safety precautions need to be taken seriously, and strictly adhered to. Observe animals silently and with a minimum of disturbance to their natural activities. Loud talking on game drives can frighten the animals away. Never attempt to attract an animal s attention. Don t imitate animal sounds, clap hands, pound the vehicle or throw objects. You should respect the driver-guide s judgment about proximity to lions, cheetahs and leopards. You should not insist that they take the vehicle closer so that you can get a better photograph. Is English spoken in Tanzania? The official national language is Swahili, though English is spoken throughout the country. What currency is used in Tanzania? The Tanzanian shilling is the currency used in Tanzania.
