Wave devices: A&P Group
Wind, Wave & Tidal projects require: Service support vessels facilities Depth of water to allow anytime access Temporary mooring areas Dry docks Heavy lift wharfs Secure facilities Support networks, accommodation etc Skilled labour resource Fabrication and engineering facilities
A&P Marine Designs Ltd Suppliers to the marine renewable sector Wind Cat Pontoons and support vessels
What Cornwall Needs Support in three areas: Projects ensure the wave hub and devices are built, deployed and markets developed Capabilities support for manufacture, installation, R&D, supply chain, skilled labour Infrastructure to build assemble and deploy arrays, port facilities and the grid At Falmouth we have much of the infrastructure, we need: Capital Dredging of the channel to allow access to support vessels and devices Quayside improvements to facilitate larger load out areas UK Ports policy - big port monopoly will defeat peripheral port development Generally: Support to actually build and deploy - not more consultants reports Incentives that match other regions level playing field, (Roc s) Effective and long term finance - not reactionary policy one off s Convergence Funding - Cornwalls last chance and the clock is running
