Please see our FAQs for more details http://www.teletextholidays.co.uk/holidays/about/ Help 2) Baggage allowances Ryanair and Easyjet When you travel with a low cost airline, such as Ryanair and Easyjet, you need to maximize your baggage allowance to avoid paying extra fees. With Ryanair, you have a free cabin bag allowance of 10KG per person plus a small handbag. (This includes children, but excludes infants). With Easyjet, you re allowed to take one bag with the following dimensions into the cabin with you, free of charge: 50 x 40 x 20cm including handles and wheels. Check your flight confirmation/invoice or boarding pass for details of any pre-purchased checked-in (hold) luggage. If you do need additional hold bags, please do this yourself directly on your airline s website.
For more information, please check the airline s website. 3) Check-In/Advance Passenger Information (API)/Boarding Passes/ Departure Terminals If your flights have been booked, on your behalf, with Ryanair or Easyjet, you will need to check-in online yourself and submit API details. You ll be able to print your own boarding passes. You should have received Online Check-In instructions on how to do this with your paperwork from us. For all other carriers, you will receive an eticket and will be able to collect your tickets at the airport from the relevant desk. Please check your Flight Confirmation/Invoice for details of your airline. * API details are Advance Passenger Information. You may also see this called APIS, Secure Flight or e-borders. Your airline needs to collect this information in advance of you travelling with them in order to comply with aviation security Departure terminal information will be shown on your boarding passes. 4) Mobility Mobility equipment will be carried on your flight free of charge. If you have special mobility requirements, please let as know as soon as possible so that we can check the suitability of your travel arrangements. Contact us on 0207 741 1305 or by email support@teletext.co.uk. 5) Passports and Visas All passengers, including children, must hold a valid 10-year passport with at least 6 months left to run when you return from your trip. Some destinations also require a tourist visa, either prior to or upon arrival. For example: Turkey With effect from April 2014, all visitors to Turkey will need to purchase their visa in advance of travel via the Turkish Government website www.evisa.gov.tr The cost of this visa is currently 20 US Dollars, but is subject to change. Egypt You will need to purchase a visa on arrival into Egypt. The cost is 15 US Dollars or equivalent in Egyptian currency. Please have dollars or sterling cash available. Tunisia With effect from October 2014, all visitors to Tunisia will be subject to a new departure tax stamp of 30 Tunisian dinars (approx. 11/ 13) payable at the custom desk at the airport or at a tax office in any Tunisian city. USA You will need to purchase an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) in advance of travel. You can do this via https: //esta.cbp.dhs.gov The cost of this is currently 14 US Dollars, but is subject to change. Cuba You will need to purchase an tourist card in advance of travel. You can do this via https://www.visacuba.com/pages/home. aspx The cost of this is currently 15.00 plus 10.00 service charge, but is subject to change. Mexico Departure Tax
If you are travelling to Mexico, you will be required to pay a departure tax when you leave. 900 Mexican Pesos approx. 45, $65 or 48 payable locally in cash only. Scottish and Irish pounds, travellers' cheques, credit and debit cards are not accepted. This is controlled locally, and may be changed without notice. Dominican Republic Tourist Card If you are travelling to the Dominican Republic, you will be required to pay for a tourist card. The cost is approx. $10 and these are available on arrival at the airport. This can be purchased before travel by contacting the Dominican republic embassy in the UK For other destinations, or if you do not hold a British passport, please check with the relevant embassy or consulate. 6) Travel Insurance We highly recommend that every member of your party be covered by travel insurance. Your credit card accident cover, home insurance, European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or private health cover is not always sufficient. An emergency abroad can be extremely expensive. If you need to be returned to the UK it could cost you thousands of pounds, unless you are adequately insured. If you haven t arranged travel insurance yet, take a look at http://holidayextras.co.uk. Teletext Holidays is an introducer appointed representative of Infinity Insurance Limited, which is authorized and regulated by the financial services authority. 7) Airport Parking/Airport Hotels/Car Rental For great prices for airport parking and hotels and for local car hire please pre-book here: http://holidayextras.co.uk. 8) City Tax In some countries, the government has imposed a city tax on tourist services, which will be collected by your hotel on arrival. The amount of tax may vary by hotel category (star rating). Examples of city tax can be found in Morocco or Rome 9) Accommodation Deposits Some hotels and apartments require customers to pay a security deposit (also referred to as an incidental charge) upon check-in. The amount will be returned to the customer upon checkout if they did not incur any extra charges or damages during their stay. Amounts vary by accommodation. We recommend you take a credit card with you to cover this charge. 10) Information regarding your Car Hire From the 08th June 2015 onwards, the DVLA are abolishing the paper counterpart of the UK drivers licences which historically would have shown endorsements for driving offences. Customers collecting overseas car hire will be required to obtain a passcode from the DVLA website to enable them to pick up their car hire in resort. How to obtain you passcode? It should only take about 30 seconds, please follow these easy steps Please visit the following link https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence 1) Please select the green view now button, you will need the following information: a. Driving licence number. b. National Insurance number. c.postcode.
2) Once you have entered the required information and ticked the box in the blue area, push the green view now button 3) Your passcode should now appear on the next page. Please note passcodes will only be valid for 72 hours, therefore you will need to complete this task 72 hours before hiring their cars. This process needs to be completed each time you hire a car Please take this passcode with you along with your car hire voucher, driving licence and credit card to enable you to pick up your vehicle 11) About Teletext Holidays/Truly Travel Truly Travel Ltd. fulfills holidays under the trading name Teletext Holidays. If you do not wish to continue to receive this information, please select the unsubscribe link on the newsletter and you ll be removed from our database. 12) Flying with Jet2 If your flying with Jet2, your next step will be to check-in online, upload your API details and print you re boarding passes directly on the airlines website. Online check-in opens a maximum of 30 days and a minimum of 2 hours before your flight departs. Please follow the steps below. Please note, you will need your airline reference number which can be found on your flight confirmation/invoice 1 Visit http://www.jet2.com 2 Select check in online at the top right hand of the page 3 Enter your flight reference number followed by the lead passenger surname into the check-in tab and then proceed to find booking 4 Once you have accessed the flight summary page, please select check in status which can be found next to the passenger names. Your next step will be to add the API information for all passengers. This will need to be completed before continuing. 5 Once this is complete, please continue with the steps which will allow you to complete check-in and print all your boarding passes Your boarding passes will include both outbound and inbound journeys. Luggage allowance (including dimensions) will appear on the boarding passes. 13) Flying with Wizz Air
If your flying with Wizzair, your next step will be to check-in online, upload your API details and print you re boarding passes directly on the airlines website. Online check-in opens a maximum of 30 days and a minimum of 3 hours before your flight departs. Please follow the steps below. Please note, you will need your airline reference number which can be found on your flight confirmation/invoice 1 - Visit https://wizzair.com/en-gb/useful_information/web_check-in 2 Please select click here to check in online 3 - A check-in box should now appear. Please enter your flight reference number followed by the lead passenger surname and then select find booking 4 - Once you have accessed the passenger information page, continue with web check-in. Please note that one of the last steps will be to add API information for all passengers before completing your check-in 5 Once all the steps are complete. Please print the boarding passes for all passengers Your boarding passes will include both outbound and inbound journeys. Luggage allowance (including dimensions) will appear on the boarding passes. 14) Flying with Norwegian Airline If your flying with Norwegian Airlines, your next step will be to check-in online, upload your API details and print you re boarding passes directly on the airlines website. Online check-in opens 24 hours before your scheduled flight departure Please follow the steps below. Please note, you will need your airline reference number which can be found on your flight confirmation/invoice 1 - Visit https://www.norwegian.com/ssl/uk/customer-services/my-norwegian/reslookup/ 2 Please select submit travel details. You will need to Enter your flight reference number, followed by the lead passenger surname 3 - Once you have accessed the flight summary page you will notice a security notice under trip summary at the top of the page 4 - Click Register passport information and enter your API details. Once completed select Send passenger information 5 Select the Check-in option under reservation details 6 - Once this is complete, select print boarding card for each passenger.
Your boarding passes will include both outbound and inbound journeys. Luggage allowance (including dimensions) will appear on the boarding passes.
