YELLOWSTONE AND GRAND TETONS ITINERARY FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN UNDER 12 AGES TO TRAVEL TO OUR NATIONAL PARKS Travel to our National Parks is suitable for all ages. TIME OF YEAR TO TRAVEL The best time to visit Yellowstone is from April to May or from September to November. These seasons offer mild weather and fewer crowds. July and August are the most popular months to visit: the kids are out of school and the weather is warm enough to sleep outside. However, this park is no stranger to the cold: Temperatures have been known to drop into the 30s even in the summer. During the winter, expert a wide range of temperatures, spanning from subzero digits to 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Don t let that stop you: There s nothing quite like seeing plumes of steam rise from beneath a thick blanket of snow and ice. DAY ONE Inbound Arrive Jackson, WY or Bozeman, MT / Self-Exploration of Old Faithful Upon arrival to Jackson, WY or Bozeman, MT, you will secure your rental car drive and drive two-hours to Yellowstone National Park. We recommend you spend the afternoon exploring the Old Faithful Visitors Center and geyser on your own. In addition to walking up to the geyser itself, another great way to view it erupting is from the outdoor deck of Old Faithful Inn. The interior of the Old Faithful Inn is architecturally stunning. Late this afternoon you will check into a Western Cabin at Lake Lodge. Lake Lodge features a main lodge with a large porch offering spectacular views of Yellowstone Lake, a lobby with two fireplaces, a lounge and gift shop. Located behind the main lodge are comfortable cabins. The Western Cabin features two queen beds and a private bathroom. Note: Televisions, radios and air conditioning are not available in park lodging. This evening we recommend dinner at the nearby Lake Yellowstone Hotel Dining Room. Reservations are required. Overnight: Lake Lodge in Two Western Cabins, each with Two Queen Beds DAY TWO Full Day Private Tour of Yellowstone National Park Today you ll have a full day with a private guide to explore Yellowstone, with stops at many of the park s signature destinations, geothermal features, wildlife view sites and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. Your guide will interpret the flora, fauna, geology and geo thermal features for you and lead you on short walks. Your guide will choose a beautiful area to enjoy a picnic lunch, giving you a chance to relax and enjoy the beauty surrounding you. After lunch, you ll continue your journey through the park. You ll return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight: Lake Lodge in Two Western Cabins, each with Two Queen Beds DAY THREE Free Day in Yellowstone National Park Today is a full day to explore Yellowstone on your own. We suggest exploring more of the north and northeastern parts of the Park. If you d like to see more wildlife, drive to the Lamar Valley located midway between Tower Falls and the Northeast Entrance of the Park.

TRIP INCLUDES Private Full Day Tour of Yellowstone National Park Two Hour Horseback Ride in Grand Teton National Park Private Morning Wildlife Tour Private Bike Tour Whitewater Rafting or Float Trip on the Scenic Snake River Wagon Ride and Cook Out Dinner Lodging as described in the itinerary, with all taxes and resort fees Meals as shown following each day in the itinerary by B, L, D, with taxes and gratuities All special equipment required for activities Final electronic documentation package Trip logistics and operations Trip monitoring during client travel TRIP DOES NOT INCLUDE Meals with gratuities, except for meals shown above Rental car (to be arranged by your Travel Consultant) Entry fees to the National Parks when not accompanied by a guide Spa, other services and other optional activities booked at hotels Airfare for all flights Gratuities at resorts and for private guides, excepted listed above in inclusions Alcoholic beverages Trip cancellation and interruption insurance We highly recommend exploring the Mammoth Hot Springs this afternoon. For a truly memorable experience take a short hike for a soak in the boiling river. The Boiling River is located just north of Mammoth Hot Springs on the 45th Parallel (an imaginary line encircling the Earth halfway between the equator and the North Pole). Overnight: Lake Lodge in Two Western Cabins, each with Two Queen Beds DAY FOUR Transit to Grand Teton National Park / One Hour Horseback Ride at Jackson Lake After checking out of your hotel this morning, you will begin your journey south on Highway 89/191/287 (South Entrance Road) exiting Yellowstone NP and entering Grand Teton NP. Note: As you enter Grand Teton NP, Highway 89/191/287 is also known as the John D. Rockefeller Memorial Parkway. As you drive south, the road borders Jackson Lake, and the massive Teton Range dominates the western skyline. No trip to the Old West is complete without a horseback ride through Grand Teton National Park. The Jackson Lake Lodge ride is a one-hour ride that heads north, crosses the willows, and then climbs Emma Matilda Lake. After your ride, you ll continue on Teton Park Road to the small town of Moose. The Visitor center for the park is located in Moose. From Moose, you ll then proceed south on Moose- Wilson Road to Teton Village. The road is aptly named as moose are sometimes seen along the side of the road. Total transit time to Teton Village is about 3 hours with stops at vista points and for wildlife viewing. Teton Mountain Lodge is a four-diamond destination resort - named one of the top hotels in the U.S. and the #1 spa in Wyoming. It is located at the south gateway to Grand Teton National Park, at the base of the Teton Mountain Range and 11 miles northwest of the Town of Jackson. From the hotel, it is an easy walk to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ski lifts and aerial tram, hiking, horseback riding, climbing, mountain biking, wildlife watching and many other outdoor activities in Grand Teton National Park. Overnight: Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa in One Two-Bedroom Bi-Level Suite DAY FIVE Private Morning Wildlife Tour of Grand Teton National Park / Afternoon Volunteering Project Our private guide will meet you at your hotel at daybreak to travel the nearby Moose-Wilson Road to view moose, elk, beaver and black bears. Your wildlife adventure will continue to view sites for the buffalo and antelope herds and other wildlife along the Gros Ventre River and Antelope Flats. Rolls, coffee and hot chocolate will be served en-route. Your guide will orient you to Grand Teton National Park, so you can enjoy hiking and wildlife viewing in the park on your own. You ll return to your hotel at about 11:00am. This afternoon you will participate in a volunteer activity selected for your specific group. Overnight: Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa in one Two-Bedroom Bi-Level Suite DAY SIX Morning Private Bike Tour / Free Afternoon / Evening Jackson Hole Rodeo Today you will be met by your private biking guide for a two to three hour bike ride along the paved pathway in Grand Teton National Park. You will ride directly beneath the majestic peaks

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK Grand Teton National Park is in the northwest of the U.S state of Wyoming. It encompasses the Teton mountain range, the 4,000-meter Grand Teton peak, and the valley known as Jackson Hole. It s a popular destination in summer for mountaineering, hiking, backcountry camping and fishing, linked to nearby Yellowstone National Park by the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway. JACKSON LAKE Jackson Lake is in Grand Teton National Park in northwestern Wyoming. This natural lake was enlarged by the construction of the Jackson Lake Dam, which was originally built in 1911, enlarged in 1916 and rebuilt by 1989. Surface elevation: 6,772 Area: 39.91 mi² Length: 14.98 mi Max. depth: 438 ft (134 m) Outflow location: Snake River of the Teton Mountain Range through the wide open sagebrush plains that border the forest. This is a family friendly ride, great for all ability levels. The rest of the day is yours to explore (or relax) on your own. Activity options include: Ride the tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain to take in the spectacular views from the peak ( 10,500 ). The view from the top is spectacular and there are some short hikes available. During the 15 minute ride, the tram ascends 4,139 vertical feet. Visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art which houses thousands of pieces of art and overlooks the National Elk Refuge. The museum is just outside the town of Jackson. Rent canoes or kayaks and paddle on Jenny Lake or Jackson Lake. Try stand up paddle boarding on nearby String Lake. Note: we can arrange for this to be a private guided activity. Take the passenger ferry across Jenny Lake to walk the Cascade Canyon Trail to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. In the evening, experience the Jackson Rodeo. Rodeo has been a part of Jackson Hole s cowboy culture since the first settlers arrived over 100 years ago. Your Jackson Hole vacation would not be complete without experiencing the legendary Jackson Hole Rodeo. Events start at 8:00 pm, so it s best to have an early dinner. A few of our favorite restaurants in Jackson include Nikai (great sushi), Pizzeria Caldera (casual), The Rusty Parrot, Rendezvous Bistro, The Kitchen, and White Buffalo Club. The rodeo ends about 10:00pm. Get ready for a wild night! Overnight: Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa in one Two-Bedroom Bi-Level Suite DAY SEVEN Morning Whitewater Adventure or Scenic Float on the Snake River / Evening Covered Wagon Cookout This morning you will take to the water, either on a rafting adventure, or a scenic float trip. The whitewater rafting section of the Snake River is located in the Grand Canyon of the Snake River, considered the deepest gorge on the Snake River in Wyoming. The whitewater stretch of the river is 25 miles south of Jackson, features a mix of Class II/III rapids and is perfect for people of all ages and experience. This is the only whitewater section of the Snake River in the area. The trip lasts between 3.5 and 4 hours, round trip out of downtown Jackson. If you choose to float you will have a thirty minute drive to the nearby town of Moose to the new Craig Thomas Visitor Center where you ll meet in the Float Trip parking lot for a scenic float on the Snake River. The 10-mile float starts from historic Dead Man s Bar, located just below the Snake River Overlook, to Moose Village. The trip covers the most scenic stretch of the Snake River within the entire Jackson Hole Valley with dramatic views of the iconic Grand Teton range throughout. The river trip is approximately four hours. We suggest going into Jackson for lunch and seeing some of the town, which has many galleries, shops and other attractions. One fun suggestion take a photo at one of the old time western photography costume studios. If you love chocolate, be sure to visit Coco Love. Late this afternoon, you will have a short drive to a nearby ranch for a chuckwagon dinner. Your family will ride in covered wagons along the banks of a clear mountain spring to a beautiful dinner location. Here you will enjoy a cowboy supper, followed by some spirited western music, entertainment and a campfire. You will return hotel following the dinner. Overnight: Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa in one Two-Bedroom Bi-Level Suite DAY EIGHT Depart Jackson, WY After checking out of your hotel you will have a thirty-minute drive to the Jackson Hole Airport, where you will return your rental car and board the flight of your choice.
