In helicopters, Airbus provides the most efficient civil and military rotorcraft solutions worldwide. Setting the Standard for the Aviation Industry We are the leading global manufacturer of the most innovative commercial aircraft. Our comprehensive product line comprises highly successful families of aircraft from the best-selling single aisle A320 Family to the double-deck A380. Europe s No. 1 Defence and Space Company In Defence and Space, Airbus develops and manufactures world-class products such as the strategic airlifter A400M and the A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft, versatile light aircraft like the C295 that can be deployed on various missions including transport, maritime patrol and surveillance, the world s most advanced swing-role fighter the Eurofighter Typhoon, and satellites for missions ranging from telecommunications to earth observation and science. The World s Leading Helicopter Manufacturer The company is the world s No. 1 helicopter manufacturer, with a 47% share of the global civil and para-public fleet. Its civil helicopter range extends from the H120 light helicopter to the H225 Super Puma, and its military range from the H125M Fennec to the Tiger. It has almost 12,000 helicopters, divided equally between the civil and military markets, in service with more than 3,000 operators in 154 countries around the world.

AIRBUS IN THE PACIFIC 05 MORE THAN 40 YEARS IN THE PACIFIC Airbus has been present in the Pacific region since 1981, when we sold our first aircraft in Australia. Since then, the region has become an important customer base for the company in all areas of the business. To date, we have delivered more than 300 commercial aircraft to airlines in the region. Our customers include Qantas Airways and its Jetstar subsidiary, Virgin Australia and its Tigerair Australia unit, Air New Zealand, Fiji Airways, Aircalin, and Solomon Airlines. Together, they have ordered aircraft across our product line including the flagship A380, the mid-sized widebody A330 and its upgraded A330neo variant, and both the current and new generation variants of the best-selling single-aisle A320 Family. In the military sector, we are proud to have delivered the A330 MRTT to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) for air-to-air refuelling, civil transport and relief missions. We have also supplied ARH Tiger, MRH90 and H135 helicopters to the Australian Defence Force (ADF), and NH90 multi-role helicopters to the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). The CN235 is in service with the Papua New Guinea Defence Force in a search and rescue role. We have been supplying earth observation satellite imagery to the Australian market for over 25 years, and our fully integrated optical and radar satellite constellation enables daily acquisitions at high resolutions. Airbus also has a strong presence in the Pacific s helicopter market, with almost 600 civil and military rotorcraft in service. Reflecting the importance of this market, in 2001 the company established a whollyowned subsidiary to cover sales and after-sales support for rotary aircraft. Headquartered in Brisbane, Airbus in the Pacific has grown significantly over the years and today manufactures helicopters for the Australian military. It also supports almost 600 civil and military fixed wing and rotary aircraft, provides training for maintenance crew, and manufactures and repairs composite structures in Australia and New Zealand. SUCCESSFUL INDUSTRIAL PRESENCE Beyond our commercial success, Airbus has a long and successful industrial presence that has helped to build up the region s aerospace expertise. Our work includes the assembly of aircraft, and sourcing of components from local companies. The company has 17 sites in Australia and New Zealand that have a combined workforce of more than 1,700 people.

AIRBUS IN THE PACIFIC 09 AIRBUS IN THE PACIFIC LEADING OUR OPERATIONS IN THE REGION CIVIL HELICOPTERS Based in Brisbane, Airbus in the Pacific is an important partner to the Australian and New Zealand defence forces and helps to advance the region s military and commercial aviation capabilities. Its sales organisation offers the complete range of our helicopters and defence and space products. Airbus is the region s largest helicopter manufacturer and a major maintenance, repair and overhaul hub for military aircraft. The company is also a leading high technology system integrator and through-life-support provider, and a major employer in the Australian and New Zealand aerospace sectors. It is committed to developing local industry, which are contracted to manufacture and support crucial segments of Airbus programmes including composite structure components, engines, avionics, electronic equipment and mechanical parts. In New Zealand, we made a further commitment by acquiring Blenheim-based Safe Air in 2015, bolstering our presence in the aerospace sector on both sides of the Tasman. Now, as part of Airbus, the company has had a presence in the country s aerospace industry for more than 65 years, and provides both civil and military aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) services, and design and component manufacturing with capability for engines, airframes and components. Airbus is a strategic MRO partner to the Royal New Zealand Air Force supporting a range of aircraft from Seasprite helicopters to C-130 transports. GOVERNMENT HELICOPTERS From its production facility at Brisbane Airport, Airbus assembled 18 of the 22 ARH Tiger helicopters for the Australian Army and is assembling 43 of the 47 MRH90 Taipan helicopters for the Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army. These technologically-advanced helicopters offer the Australian Defence Force (ADF) the latest in troop transport, search and rescue and reconnaissance capabilities. These projects have resulted in extensive Australian industry development. Our H135s have also been selected as training helicopters for the ADF s pilots, and are in operation at Nowra. Our full range of civil Airbus helicopters is available for sale across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, offering the right solution for customers needs. The company s helicopters, ranging from the H120 through to the larger H125/135 Ecureuil Family and H225 Super Pumas, are in service in the region. They are popular with missions including tourism, emergency medical services and aerial work, among others. New Zealand s geography means that it has one of the highest helicopter-to-person ratios in the world, and many of them are Airbus models. Sydney also hosts an Airbus Helicopters Centre of Excellence. From its base at Bankstown Airport in Sydney, Airbus offers well-positioned after-sales support to almost 600 helicopters in the region. It is the Asia-Pacific regional hub for dynamic component overhaul and D-level structural repair for light helicopters, and has a fully equipped blade repair facility and deeplevel maintenance capability. FIXED WING Airbus supports the Royal Australian Air Force s (RAAF) AP-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft, C-130J Hercules transport aircraft, and A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transports. We were recently appointed as a sub-contractor for Australia s P8 Poseidons. In New Zealand, the company inspects, services and overhauls the RNZAF s T-6 Texans, P-3s and C-130s. SOFTWARE ENGINEERING CAPABILITIES Airbus has extensive software engineering capabilities in Australia to support rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft. More than 50 software engineers work out of Brisbane in partnership with the Australian Defence Force to support Airbus ARH Tiger, MRH90 Taipan and third-party fixed wing platforms. This software centre has played a central role in enabling key capability upgrades, including initial integration of an updated version of the Hellfire missile on ARH Tiger and Dead Reckoning Navigation on MRH90. The team has also developed and recently released an innovative flight diagnostic and forensic tool, which allows review and detailed analysis of recorded flight data, particularly in time-constrained contexts of intheatre operational support.

AIRBUS 11 THE WORLD S MOST MODERN AND EFFICIENT AIRCRAFT Airbus offers airlines the most modern and extensive product line available today, ranging from 100 to over 600 seats. Together the aircraft cover every airline requirement, from short and regional flights to the longest commercial services in the world. Our product line combines unrivalled operational efficiency with the highest levels of passenger comfort, offering more personal space in every class. Airbus has been successful in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific islands, where airlines have cumulatively ordered over 300 aircraft from the company. A380: The A380 is the world s largest aircraft, bringing increased market share, higher load factors and greater profitability for the most heavily travelled routes. From the region, Qantas Airways was the first airline to sign a contract for the A380, and it received its first superjumbo in 2008. Today the airline operates its A380s on its major routes to Europe, the U.S., and selected destinations in the Asia-Pacific region. A330: The A330 is one of the most successful widebody aircraft ever, with over 1,500 orders from airlines across the world. Bringing unrivalled versatility in its size category, the aircraft is set to offer even greater efficiencies with the arrival of the A330neo in 2017 featuring new engines, aerodynamic innovations and even lower operating costs. In the region, the A330 is in service with Qantas, Virgin Australia, Aircalin and Fiji Airways and is the established widebody workhorse of Pacific-based carriers. In 2016, Aircalin became the region s launch customer for the A330neo. A350 XWB: The A350 XWB brings new levels of comfort to the larger twin aisle market, with a wider cabin and more personal space in all classes. Featuring state-ofthe-art technologies, including the latest engines and carbon fibre wings and fuselage, the A350 achieves a 25 percent reduction in fuel burn and is the most efficient aircraft ever in its size category. More than 800 aircraft have been ordered globally. The A350-900 first entered commercial service in January 2015 and will be joined in the second half of 2017 by the larger A350-1000. Ten airlines are already flying the A350 XWB, and it is already operating to a number of destinations in the Pacific including Adelaide, Auckland and Melbourne. A320 Family: The A320 Family is firmly established as the world s most modern and best-selling single aisle product line. The Family has reached new heights with the A320neo, bringing unrivalled fuel savings per seat that will reach 20% by 2020. These savings are achieved through a combination of new engines, aerodynamic improvements and the latest cabin innovations. The A320 Family is the product of choice for both full-service and low-cost carriers. In the Pacific region, the aircraft is flying with Aircalin, Air New Zealand, Jetstar Airways, Solomon Airlines and Tigerair Australia.

HELICOPTERS 13 THE WORLD S LEADING MANUFACTURER OF ROTARY WING AIRCRAFT With the widest range of civil and military helicopters, Airbus caters for all rotorcraft needs with its line-up of the most technologically advanced and cost-efficient aircraft at the highest safety standard, trusted by operators around the world. H125/H130: The single-engined H125 outclasses all other helicopters in its category for performance, versatility, low maintenance, and low acquisition costs.
