Day 01-30 Jun SINGAPORE / ISTANBUL / ROME (Meals on Board) Assemble at Changi Airport for your night flight to Rome on Turkish Airlines TK 67. Assembly Time: 2100 hrs at Changi Airport Terminal 1 Departure Time on TK 67 to Istanbul: 2310hrs (ETA in Istanbul: 0615hrs) Departure Time on TK 1861 from Istanbul to Rome: 0905hrs (ETA in Rome: 1040hrs) *ETA - Estimated time of arrival Day 02-01 Jul ROME (Meals on Board / Lunch / Dinner) Arrival in Rome and transfer to Domus Urbis for check-in and lunch. After lunch, free to explore the monastery ground and attend mass in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Domus Urbis. Day 03-02 Jul ROME (Breakfast / Dinner) Breakfast, followed by a full day guided tour of St Peter s Basilica and The Vatican City, the smallest state in the world with its own famous Swiss Guards, St Peter s square, the centre of Christianity for over a thousand years. Inside the Basilica are the great works of Michelangelo, visit the excavation site, the tomb of St Peter, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museum. (Lunch on own expense) Dinner and overnight at Domus Urbis. Day 04-03 Jul ROME (Breakfast / Dinner) Breakfast, followed by full day guided tour. Visit the Roman Catacombs. The Catacombs are underground burial places dug by the first Christians to bury their deads and martyrs and their presence has made the Catacombs real veneration places until now. The most famous Catacombs are San Sebastino, Domitilla and San Callisto. Visit the churches of Quo Vadis, St John s (the Basilica of San Giovanni Laterano), St Paul s (San Paolo Fuori le Mura), St Mary Marjore (Santa Maria Maggiore) (Lunch on own expense) Dinner and overnight at Domus Urbis. Day 05-04 Jul ROME (Breakfast / Dinner) Breakfast, followed by 10am mass at Santissima Trinita dei Pellgrini. After mass, full day guided tour of the Roman Forum (centre of ancient Rome), to view the ruins and monuments from the 6th century to the Byzantine age. Visit the Coloseum, the most beautiful and majestic amphitheatre of Roman times, where fights between gladiators and wild beasts were held here periodically. The amphitheatre was consecrated to the Christian martyrs. (Lunch on own expense) Dinner and overnight at Domus Urbis.
Day 06-05 Jul ROME / SIENA (Breakfast / Dinner) After breakfast, depart for Siena, the hometown of St Catherine -one of the two patron saints of Italy, (the other being St Francis of Assisi). Half day guided tour of Siena, visit the house of St Catherine, the Chapel of St Catherine with parts of her relics in the Basilica of San Domenico, the Siena Cathedral or Duomo is one of the most beautiful buildings in Italy Afternoon free at leisure to explore Siena on your own. (Lunch on own expense) Dinner and overnight at hotel in Siena. Day 07-06 Jul SIENA / ORVIETO / SPOLETO / ROME (Breakfast / Dinner) After breakfast, depart for Orvieto where the illustrations of the miracle of Bolsena and the life of Christ are found in the Duomo of Orvieto. Explore the older churches, San Giovenale, Sant Andrea, the abbey of Saints Severus and Martyrius (La Badia dei SS Severo e Martirio). Proceed to Spoleto, which still conserves traces of its most ancient origins and exceptional signs of early Christianity, the Basilica of San Salvatore dating back to the 4th-5th century. Continue journey back to Rome. (Lunch on own expense) Dinner and overnight at Domus Urbis. Day 08-07 Jul ROME (Breakfast / Dinner) Free day to do own private devotion / shopping. (Lunch on own expense) Breakfast, dinner and overnight at Domus Urbis. Day 09-08 Jul ROME (Breakfast / Dinner) Free day to do own private devotion / shopping. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT The above is based on a minimum group size of 30 paying passengers. Safe2Travel Pte Ltd reserves the right to re-quote should this number decrease. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS REQUIREMENT Valid international passports (validity of at least six months from date of returning to Singapore) and visa(s) (if any) are required. Ample time must be given to us for the application of visa(s) and subjected to the Embassy s approval. For National Servicemen and Reservists, it is your responsibility to ensure your own eligibility for exit. NOTE : A SCHENGEN visa is required for certain passport holders (e.g. Indonesian). Applicant needs to apply for the SCHENGEN visa in your country of origin. REFUND No refund or reduction of the package price will be made to passenger who does not partake in any meals, sightseeing or does not utilise the accommodation provided throughout the duration of the tour. DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT A non-refundable deposit of S$500.00 per person is required upon acceptance and confirmation of your trip. However, payment does not constitute a confirmation of any arrangement (accommodation, air/ferry ticket etc) on our part, unless otherwise stated. Deadline for Registration is 25 April 2010. Balance of full payment is to be made one month prior to group departure. CANCELLATION CHARGES The cancellation charges will be as follows in addition to any charges imposed by the hotels, airlines, ferry or ground operators. Prior to date of departure 30-21 days 30% of package fare 20-15 days 50% of package fare 14-08 days 75% of package fare less than 08 days 100% of package fare In addition to the above applicable cancellation charges, an administrative fee of S$50.00 per person will be levied for any trip cancellation due to the rejection of visa application by the Embassy or any other specified reasons before the cut-off date. EXCHANGE RATE The package price is based on the current exchange rate of Euro to S$. Safe2Travel reserves the right to adjust the package price should the exchange rate fluctuate substantially.
