Retreat Centre Hiring Information Govinda Valley Govinda Valley Retreat Centre is located within the pristine Otford valley, one hour south of Sydney, nestled between mountains, boarded by a beautiful creek and national parks. Our retreat space is built amongst 30 acres of gently rolling hills, gardens and bushland and home to many kinds of wildlife such as parrots, kookaburras, kangaroos and deer. There are peaceful nature walks nearby and we are just minutes drive from the stunning Bald Hill lookout and popular beach destination of Stanwell Park. The relaxed and healing energy of the Otford Valley is the perfect place to unwind, heal and learn. We look forward to hosting you and helping you to manifest your dream retreat. Retreat Packages Govinda Valley Retreat Centre provides all-inclusive retreat packages. We take care of all the details necessary to support your retreat, creating a beautiful space for your guests to enjoy. This will allow you and your whole group to just relax and absorb yourself in the experience of your own unique retreat. Our retreat packages includes: - use of either our large hall or mid-sized yoga room - three delicious buffet meals per day - all day complimentary tea and fresh fruit - accommodation (choice of three levels to suit varying budgets) - use of Govinda Valley facilities and grounds Prices for retreat packages are calculated based on a per head / per night rate. If required, additional meals or morning/afternoon teas can be provided at an additional cost, calculated on a per head rate. In addition, up to 30 people can use the balcony which provides wonderful views over the national park. GROUNDS Located on the property is a tranquil terrace garden over looking the Otford Valley, an organic vegetable garden, volley ball court, half basket ball court, two bonfire areas and lovely spacious grounds boarded by flowing creak. THERAPY ROOM Our therapy room is perfect for providing your guests massage, reki or one-on-one consultations. It is charged per hour. Accommodation Govinda Valley can provide in-house accommodation for up to 50 guests and camping facility for additional guests. All rooms include bedding, pillows, heaters and fans. Towels are provided in the ensuite rooms only. There are three levels of accommodation: 1. Ensuite - twin share There are 6 ensuite rooms, each with two single beds, linen, duvets, towels, bedside tables, lamps, writing desk, closet space and ensuite bathroom. Total capacity: 12 people 2. Shared - quad share There are 10 shared rooms, each with three or four single beds, linen, duvets, bedside tables, lamps and external shared bathroom (note. Towels are not provided shared rooms) in
Total capacity: 38 people 3. Camping There is plenty of space on the beautiful ground for camping and guests are welcome to choose their own camping site. Campers are asked to bring their own tents, bedding and towels. Campers can use the external shared bathrooms. DAY GUESTS Guests who would like to join the retreat but do not require accommodation on site pay a flat rate for the day (or part there of) which includes lunch. If an additional meal is required, there will be an additional charge. Day guests will have access to all facilities while at Govinda Valley, excluding the bedrooms. If a day guest does not require lunch, there will be no alteration to the fee. CHILDREN Children 13 years and older are charged at full price. Children 5-12 years old are charged at halfprice, while children under 5 years old attend for free. Meals Each day three delicious vegetarian buffet meals will be served in our large and homely dinning hall. These meals are included in the package price. Our chefs are very skilled and we can easily accommodate any dietary requirements that your guests may have, such as: dairy free, sugar free, gluten free, nut free, etc. Additional meals or morning/afternoon teas can be arranged and are charged per head. A complimentary tea station and fresh fruit is available all day. Single Day Retreats Package Govinda Valley Retreat Centre is available for single day retreats. Included in our single day retreat package is: - use of either our large hall or mid-sized yoga room - delicious buffet lunch - all day complimentary tea and fresh fruit - use of Govinda Valley facilities and grounds (excluding bedrooms). Single day retreat packages are charged at a flat rate per head. Additional meals or morning/afternoon teas can be provided at an additional cost, calculated per head. Retreat Sizes To book a retreat at Govinda Valley, you are required to have a minimum number of 15 full paying guests. Govinda Valley is often able to host two smaller retreat groups simultaneously as there are two retreat hosting spaces and accommodation is laid out in two separate wings. This means there is minimal contact between the two groups. The only space that the groups are required to share is the
large dinning hall during meal times. As practically all retreat groups visiting Govinda Valley have a similar concern for health, healing and growth, we find that the respective groups are generally compatible and naturally considerate of each other. To secure the exclusive use of Govinda Valley Retreat Centre, a minimum group size of 40 is required. Groups of less than 40 may still have exclusive use of Govinda Valley if no other group has booked at the same time. Govinda Valley Map Additional Services MASSAGE We can provide massages for your guests with with our excellent massage therapist. Massages are $80/ 60min and $110/ 90min. Bookings usually need to be made at least one day in advance and will depend on our therapists availability. BONFIRE Upon request, a beautiful evening bonfire under the starts can be arranged for your guests. This service is an additional $100 and will be dependant on weather conditions. WORKSHOPS AND ACTIVITIES If you would like some special additions to your retreat, we can arrange for any of the following activities to be included, dependant on availability at the time of your retreat. Yoga Classes, Meditation Classes, Ayurvedic Talks/Consultations, Cooking Class/Demonstration, Vedic Astrology Talks/Consultations, Bush Walks, Horse Riding.
Bookings and Payments Terms and Agreement Securing dates for your retreat at Govinda Valley Retreat Centre requires a $300 non-refundable deposit for a single day retreat booking and $1000 non-refundable deposit for retreats of 2+ days. Deposit is required at the time of booking. Until a deposit is received, your retreat dates are not locked in and therefore may be allocated to other interested parties without notice. Once a deposit is received your dates are secure and you can confidently begin to advertise your retreat. The deposit will be deducted from your final invoice, which must be paid in full prior to the commencement of your retreat. Insurance It is a requirement of Govinda Valley that all retreat groups provide their own public liability insurance. We require a copy of this insurance to be emailed to us one weeks prior to the commencement of your retreat. Cancellation Policy If you choose to re-schedule your retreat, your non-refundable deposit may be transferred to the new retreat dates, provided: a) a minimum of three months notices is received by Govinda Valley booking staff. b) the new retreat dates fall into an available time slot within a twelve month period from the initial retreat dates. c) that the retreat in question has not previously been re-scheduled. d) that Govinda Valley has dates available for you to re-schedule to. Should Govinda Valley not have dates available that suit you and you choose not to re-schedule to an available date, then the nonrefundable deposit will be lost. Should you choose to cancel your retreat entirely, your non-refundable deposit will be lost. Guest Conduct Govinda Valley is a retreat centre developed to facilitate and assist the health and healing of not only its guest, but also the community and environment, as such, it is requested that all guests strictly adhere to the following rules: no meat, fish or eggs, no smoking, no alcohol and no illegal drugs are permitted on the property. Please make sure you remind your retreat participants of these conditions. Any guests who choose not to comply with these requests will be asked to leave the retreat centre.
