Hello Friends, As a young camper, I experienced a world that introduced me to new activities and helped me understand what it meant to live in Christian community and function as part of larger family. Hiking, making crafts, flying hot air balloons, singing around a campfire and swimming in a lake for the first time helped me grow in so many ways. As a teenager, I gained confidence as I played my guitar and sang a solo in front of my peers for the first time. I know from personal experience that camp changes a life forever. Now, with children of my own, I understand the trust it takes to leave my child in the care of others. Our dedicated team of professional staff is preparing an exciting summer; and our first and most important goal is that children and youth are provided a safe place where they can find themselves, define themselves, and just be themselves. The mission of Camp & Retreat Ministries is to provide programs for the purpose of Christian education and spiritual birth, growth and renewal. Sending your children to a fun-filled, life-changing, experience at summer camp is an investment in their lives. Campers will learn new skills, make new friends, live in Christian community, experience ways to grow in their relationship with God, and have fun doing it. Our low camper-to-staff ratio helps ensure a positive experience for each camper. There will be something new this year for first time and returning campers alike. Retreat participants and summer campers receive quality programs that impact the world by empowering children, youth and adults to love God and their neighbor. Looking forward to seeing you at camp. Aldersgate specialty & family camps 2 Six (6) camp & retreat centers + numerous buildings + deferred maintenance = a critical need for a CRM Maintenance Fund Friends, Let s face it. Owning property is both a blessing and a responsibility; and here in the Upper New York Annual Conference, we have been entrusted with the care and stewardship of six (6) camp and retreat centers. In July of 2010, four conferences came together to form one conference; and with that uniting, the Upper New York Annual Conference gained camp and retreat centers unique in their individual ministry outreach and also unique in the state of health of their facilities. CRM staff has worked diligently to introduce new events at each of our sites, and is committed to continued development of innovative programming that serves to introduce people to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their relationship with God. The critical need at each of our sites at the present time is a maintenance fund that will ensure long-term sustainability of our facilities and make certain that quality space is provided for our summer campers and retreat guests. YOU can be instrumental in the development of a long-term Maintenance Fund with a gift to Camp & Retreat Ministries. Gifts received will be held in a fund to support the capital needs at each of the six sites. Please consider this opportunity to support Camp & Retreat Ministries by sending a generous gift to Upper New York Annual Conference CRM or UNYAC-CRM, 324 University Ave., 3rd floor, Syracuse, NY 13210. Let us know that your gift is for facility needs, and thanks in advance for your generosity. Specialty & family camps Family Life Weekend Introduce your family to a Christian camping experience.
