COMFORT EASE ADVENTURE A unique exciting and sustainable wellness adventure accessible to all due to controllable assisted pedals. Hardened cyclists and beginners may find common ground on this adventure retreat.

Choosing assisted pedal bikes to travel and discover the unique corners of Morocco. We embark on a journey breathing the air of the mountains, valleys, oasis and Sahara desert. A mix of extraordinary panoramas and scenery with history to discover along the journey. In 2012 a team of engineers fine-tuned the first Fat E-Bike with voluntary pedal assistance. Inspired to travel desert sands a new medium was born that is harmonious with nature. The journey includes overnight stays in charming accommodations in Marrakech within Morocco s largest palm tree oasis and in the heart of the desert. Enjoy excellent hospitality and a unique experience.

Over the years we consolidated and proposed the most avid adventurers a style of travel from the most remote and mysterious to most sought after must see locations. We travel by comfortable 4x4 jeeps and Fat E Bikes. On top of the assisted pedal bike we discover extraordinarily unique corners of Morocco, rich in culture and traditions.

Discover Marrakech, High Atlas Mountains, Trans Saharan Trade Route and the numerous Kasbahs and Ksars found along the Valley of Ounila. We will drop into Unesco world heritage site Aït Benhaddou. Bike along Morocco s pearl the spectacular Draa Valley. Adventure yourself on the off-road trails crossing beautiful sandy slopes on varying inclines. Admire unforgettable landscapes in a natural open air manner that is Fat E Biking. Let the dunes of the Ahanou n'zireg valley embrace you. Ride the oasis and hamlet set amid lemon, almond and olive trees and gardens of the Amazrou village.

Itinerary & Program Daily 2 yoga sessions and 2 new biking itineraries. Day 1 Airport Transfers. Dinner and overnight in a charming Haute Maison Boutique Hotel in Marrakech. Day 2 After breakfast depart Marrakech to drive the High Atlas Mountains the largest mountain chain in North Africa. A place set with breathtaking natural scenery. Heading south of Marrakech we pass Aït Ourir, a charming Berber village with a splendid views of the fertile Atlas foothills.

During our journey to Southern Morocco we will pass olive groves of the Oued Zat, while ascending into Tizi- N-Tichka Pass road. Built in the 1920 s, the Tizi n'tichka pass lies between the great Marrakech Plains and the gateway of the Sahara Desert. Often with snow fall on the pass between November and March the experience feels warm due to a hot sun. Reaching elevation 2,260 m above sea level this is the highest mountain pass of North Africa. The former Trans Saharan Trade Route between Marrakech and Sub Saharan Africa. Presently it evolved to become the road of the Kasbahs and Ksars found throughout the Valley of Ounila.

This arid land is brought to life by the Ounila River to form lush vegetation gifting travelers with stunning views of a green valley oasis. Our journey visits multiple Kasbahs including the famous Kasbah Tamdaght. Lunch in Aït Benhaddou Unesco world heritage. Once it served ancient caravan routes between Sahara and Marrakech. Most inhabitants live in modernized villages on the other side of the Ounila River. Some continue to live within the ksar. This was once significant for trading gold, salt and slaves along the famous Southern Caravan route through the Sahara. Beautifully preserved it is famed by famous films such as The Bible, Tea in the Desert and The Gladiator. Overnight in Aït Benhaddouh. Day 3 After breakfast depart to Morocco s pearl the Draa Valley driving amongst lush green palm trees within what is an oasis bountiful with dates famed as an ancient trade route. Heading towards Zagora. Dra Valley during the 11th century was where the first Berber dynasty, the Almoravids, launched their conquest of Morocco and onward into Spain.

Zagora called the "direct door to the Sahara. A well-known town sign states "Tombouctou 52 days", the believed time for foot or camel travel to Timbuktu or Mali from here. On the way to Zagora we visit the Kasbah Ait Lkaid in the village of Tamegroute. Tamegroute has been a religious center since the 11th century. It possesses an 11th century Koranic Library housing 4,000 theological volumes. During its zenith 40,000 volumes were held here before sending most to Moroccan museums and libraries. A collection of Korans, the oldest of which are written on gazelle skins are Southern Morocco s most priceless manuscripts. The village of Tamegroute's claim to fame are beautiful dark green pottery created from a glaze made of henna before sun drying. The emerald green pottery is unique to Zagora. Dinner and overnight in a charming Kasbah Asmaa, visited by numerous celebrities and rock stars.

Day 4 A 4 x 4 morning departure heading to Tafraout. At a trail junction for Tarbhalt we cycle off road trails crossing flat sandy slopes before reaching the falaise, a cliff of a dry river bed, we climb to admire the magnificent landscapes. In the afternoon we follow a trail through the valley of Ahanou n'zireg to our desert camp. Day 5 Bike ride sandy trails and oued that wind through the black rocks up to the village of Ramlia, where we will have lunch. Afternoon arrival at Hotel Auberge Aghbalou. Dinner and overnight in desert camp.

Day 6 Bike North crossing a charming small Erg to reach the riverbed Oued el Maider and then bike up the Forum el March. Here lies the beautiful Maider Volcano crater. From here on a hard and sloping terrain - travelling 75% by bike and 25% by 4x4 we arrive into Fezzou. Continuing offroad until hitting the paved road taking us via Anlif, N'kob, Tansinkht and finally to Tamnoughalt. Day 7 Via Ourzazate and the wonderful Tichka Mountain pass back to Marrakech. The road slowly ascends to the High Atlas, leaving behind fields and olive groves as we gradually penetrate the mountain. Until Taddert we pass through impressive bends carved into the rock leading up to 2300 meters height. Here you see inspiring High Atlas mountain landscapes.

Descending towards nearby Marrakech where we will arrive in the afternoon. Guided tour of Marrakech's Medina. Dinner and overnight in a charming Haute Maison Boutique Hotel in Marrakech outskirts. Day 8 Airport Transfers and Departure On all days yoga, morning and evening sessions. Yoga with Perumal lessons progress from the least challenging to the more dynamic postures during a lesson. The level we go to is determined by the group. We will try to peak on the most complex practices in the last days of the retreat. All twice a day lessons are designed to lead from one into the next lesson. Our aim is to not practice too strong otherwise the nervous system will react to tighten the body, injuries could easily inflamed and the body would not open itself up. Nor should we practice too light otherwise the body will not experience any change. The key is to make the body open itself up. Perumal's method adapts to the moment with a strong attention kept on the ones who have or have had injuries. The first lesson usually avoids all things that may lead to pain. The most important thing that those with injuries learn is not what to but above all what not to do while listening to their own body. Often the same thing that will heal will also inflames a problem if approached without consciousness. A result is felt immediately after the first lesson which creates motivation. Usually after the third night participants experience a breakthrough in the practice and physical wellness that is measurable and often expressed by them. For example some stop feeling an old shoulder or back pain that bothered them for years. Or a marked improvement in flexibility is noticed.

YOGA YOGA FATeBIKE Session Parts: 1. Pranayama 2. Preparation 3. Salutation 4. Strength 5. Stretching 6. Meditation / Relaxation Core Series: A detoxifying session. Remove the head and limbs and what remains are mostly core muscles. A session to focus the back and abdominal muscles in order to stabilize / activate the core. This series sets the foundation to limb based postures. Deep abdominal breathing exercises along with joint preparation sets are also emphasized.

Leg Series: Hips, gluteus, hamstrings, quads and calves are well used. Postures range from lightning / chair, double warrior, Warrior 1 3, heel raises and various balancing sequences. Those with lower back issues benefit immensely with this fluid yet challenging series.

Arm Balances: Focuses on upper body postures in order to train the shoulders, chest and arms. These postures range from plank, side plank, single leg plank and crow to chaturanga along with their variations. There is a strong emphasis on preparation for joints followed by isometric and then isotonic movements synchronized with breath. Depth of progression into a sequence depends on the individual or group. Above sample sessions focus on specifics body areas. This enables progression without overtraining.
