ALL COMMITTEES DAYS VOLUNTEERS PROGRAMME 16 th - 18 th March 2017 LONDON EPTDA members recognize networking as a vital ingredient for business success. The EPTDA All Committees Days event is an example of an EPTDA platform that combines both, networking and exchange of knowledge, and decision-making and executive levels. Hosted twice a year, in March and September in conjunction with the Annual Convention, the EPTDA All Committees Days bring together senior representatives of distributor and manufacturer member companies serving in EPTDA committees, Council and/or Board of Directors. This unique event provides yet another powerful channel for high profile, long lasting networking and exchange of knowledge. EPTDA Volunteers are awaited again next March to be part of another inspiring meeting which will be held in one of the greatest cities of the world, London, at the Hilton Metropole Hotel. EPTDA Volunteers are stimulated to attend the Executive Development Seminar prior to the actual committees meetings, giving participants the opportunity to meeting and mingling with the EPTDA NexGen representatives taking part in the March programme. EPTDA feels confident that this edition, as the previous ones, will set the perfect scene to affirm yourself and to defend the interests of your company and industry, strengthening the EPTDA business network. TANGIBLE VALUES: Develop your company s business model and learn new strategies Network with EPTDA s NexGen and peers discussing latest industry developments Benefit from complimentary access to the Executive Development Seminars 1 All Committees Days

EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR How to Build the New Industrial Sales Model The role of the salesforce of the future is fundamentally different than what it is today from the traditional outside sales model to one that is much more responsive to rapidly changing customer needs and digital disruption. This seminar is the roadmap for how to change without threatening your current success. THOMAS P. GALE President, Gale Media Tom Gale is publisher of Modern Distribution Management and mdm.com and heads the company s market research and analytics division, MDM Analytics. He has provided marketing services and competitive intelligence analysis to industrial markets and distribution channels for more than 30 years. As a principal of MDM since 1992, he has focused on industrial distribution channel strategies, trends and disruptive models. Tom was an executive editor and chapter author of the Distributor s Guide to Analytics, published by MDM in 2015, and a co-author of Stand Out from the Competition! Four Pathways to Differentiate Your Wholesale Distribution Company, published by the National Association of Wholesaler Distributors in 2003. Tom also contributed to NAW s Outlook 2009: An Executive s Companion to Facing the Forces of Change. Innovative distributors and manufacturers are changing their traditional outside-sales-centric models into more adaptive and customer-responsive multichannel models that are more team-based. These innovators are integrating sales teams, e-commerce, customer relationship management tools and analytics to build competitive advantage. This session will provide case studies of distributors that are changing their models with details on how roles have changed between outside and inside sales roles, as well as how CRM and e-commerce are playing critical roles to customer service and retention. Examples of new compensation incentives will also be reviewed as a critical aspect of successful transformation efforts. Important research will be shared, including how more than 3000 industrial customers say they are changing the way they shop and buy products today and in the future. These surprising key trends will inform how you can stay relevant and build deeper relationships through a more efficient sales process. This afternoon session will also bring NexGen members into the room to expand their morning s learning on this topic with EPTDA s leaders. All attendees will participate in roundtable discussions to gain a deeper understanding of how traditional selling methods are being challenged, and identify practical ways the concepts and ideas shared can strengthen your market position and competitive advantage. 4 All Committees Days

TOP 10 ATTRACTIONS L O N D O N 1. Tower of London Tower of London retains its aura of menace, despite being dwarfed by City skyscrapers. For more than 1,000 years it has been a palace, prison, armoury, barracks, mint, menagerie and place of execution: three young Queens lost their heads there. 2. Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey is a stunning gothic church and UNESCO World Heritage site that sits behind the Houses of Parliament. Many famous names are part of the rich history of Westminster Abbey, from royals to scientists, poets and aristocrats. More recently, it was the church where Kate and Wills were married in 2011. 3. The London Eye The London Eye is a major feature of London s skyline. Soaring 135 metres above the River Thames, this slowly rotating observation wheel is a wonder to look at and on a clear day the half-hour round trip is a memorable way to get a fine view over London. 4. St. Paul s Cathedral Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built between 1675 and 1710, this 300-year-old masterpiece houses famous works of art and intricate Victorian mosaics. Climb to the top of the spiral staircase for amazing panoramic views of the city. 8 All Committees Days

5. Tower Bridge Tower Bridge, the iconic Victorian bascule bridge, is one of the most impressive structures and sites in the capital and has stood over the River Thames since 1894. It houses a permanent exhibition which explores the history of the bridge, as well as a new Glass Walkway, recently opened in 2014 to give visitors a unique view over the river and pedestrians below. 6. The View From the Shard The Shard redefines London s skyline and has become a dynamic symbol of the capital, with views stretching up to 40 miles (64km). It is the only place where visitors can see the entire city at once. 7. Thames River Cruise If you want to see London from a different perspective, a Thames river cruise is without doubt one of the best ways to see the city. From Westminster to Greenwhich, get a unique view and spot London s most famous attractions: Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, London Eye and the O2. 8. Shakespeare s Globe Theatre Set on the banks of the River Thames, Shakespeare s Globe Theatre is an open-air playhouse that has been reconstructed to the original Elizabethan building where the great playwright penned many of his plays. 9. Madame Tussauds London With 14 interactive areas, Madame Tussauds London combines glitz, glamour and incredible history with more than 300 stunning wax figures. From Shakespeare and her Majesty the Queen to Madonna and Johnny Depp, this is the place where you will come face-to-face with some of the world s most famous faces. 10. Shopping Streets London has several shopping streets, many of which have their own themes or specialities. Thus it can be exciting and varied: from luxury goods in Mayfair to designer outlets and landmark stores on Oxford Street, to large shopping centres such as Westfield and impressively elegant fashion stores on Regent Street. You can easily spend an hour, an afternoon or a whole day browsing shops in London. 9 All Committees Days
