Communications Program 2018 Global Communication Practice Global Communication Short Course The University of offers you a unique opportunity to explore aspects of Australia's communication industry, its value and approaches of effective communication and its role in social, political, corporate and economic contexts. The program explores the theories and practice of diverse communication practice as it relates to the changing concepts of media industries and audiences; political communication and public affairs; public relations; corporate communication including integrated marketing communication and advertising; social movements and advocacy, events and campaigns. Global Communication Practice (Part A) Learning Outcomes On successful completion of this unit, students will: o Demonstrate reflexivity and clear communication o Identify and research a topical issue relating to global communications principles and practice and apply creative and critical problem solving methods o Convey analysis and research in high quality written and oral expression in different multimedia formats Assessment items: (both must be submitted prior to commencement of the study tour) 1.
