Day 1: Sunday, June 10, 2018 Flight departs DC Area airport for Naples (exact flights TBD) Day 2: Monday, June 11, 2018 Arrival of the group at Naples Airport. Our English speaking driver will await at the arrivals inside the airport with a signboard showing the group s name. Pick up by private coach and transfer to Naples city centre and admission to Naples Archaeological Museum Accommodation at Hotel B&B Naples**Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Naples. Day 3: Tuesday, June 12, 2018 Breakfast in hotel and departure by private coach to Pompeii. Appointment with the English speaking local guide and beginning of the private guided visit of the ruins. (2 hours approx). At the end of the visit, time at leisure to eat something and then transfer to Ercolano. Appointment with the English speaking local guide and beginning of the visit. At the end of the tour transfer back to Naples. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Naples Day 4: Wednesday June 13, 2018 Breakfast in hotel and departure by private coach to Paestum. Appointment with the English speaking local guide and beginning of your private guided visit. At the end of the tour return back to Naples. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Naples. Day 5: Thursday, June 14, 2018 Breakfast in hotel and check out. Departure on foot to Naples train station. Departure by train to Rome. Arrival in Rome and accommodation at Hotel Center3*** located at approximately 20 minutes on foot from the train station. In the afternoon at h. 15.30 appointment in the lobby with our English speaking local guide and departure on foot to Coliseum (approx 20 minutes on foot). Beginning of the guided visit of the Imperial Rome and Colosseum, Palatino and the Roman Forum inside. At the end of the visit, return back on foot to your hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Rome. Day 6: Friday June 15, 2018 Breakfast in hotel and at h. 08.30 am appointment in the lobby with our English speaking local guide and the coach and departure for a half day tour to the Ancient Ostia. The large archaeological site of Ostia Antica, an ancient sea-port by the mouth of the river Tevere, gives you the opportunity to picture a cosmopolitan town of two thousand years ago. Its inhabitants belonged to different cultures and professed different religions. Clues of their daily life are still under your eyes as you leisurely walk through this open-air museum to admire the mosaics of the Thermal Baths. You cross the Theater, you explore the Insulae built for the middle-class, and the wealthy Domus. You penetrate the narrow alleys to reach the Fullonica (the laundry) and you will be taken aback when you finally enter into the forerunner of today's restaurant: the Thermopolium At the end of the tour, return back by coach to Rome. Stop in the city centre, Time to eat something at leisure and the tour will continue with the visit of the Pantheon inside. Then the guide will lead the group to visit 2 artisans little shops where the old artisans continue to produce leather accessories or bags or old goldsmiths who produce jewelleries... At the end of the tour the guide will help you to take the nearest metro to come back to your hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Rome.
Day 7: Friday, June 16, 2018 Breakfast in hotel and departure by metro to the Vatican Museums. (You can take the metro at the train station) Appointment with our English speaking local guide and beginning of the guided visit of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter s Basilica inside. At the end of the tour time at leisure to eat something and then pick up by private coach and departure to visit the aqueducts park in Rome. Archeological tour starting from San Policarpo church (Piazza Aurelio Celio Sabino), the tour will allow to appreciate the impressive remains of the famous aqueducts system of Rome. This green area, of 15 hectares, encloses 6 of the 11 aqueducts that served the ancient Rome. In detail, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the aqueducts Felice,Acqua Marcia and Claudio. During the tour you will also see an ancient road inspector's house Casale del Sellaretto - and Villa delle Vignacce, one of the largest roman villas of the area. At the end of the tour pick up by private coach and transfer to the Catacombs of St Callisto. Then return back by coach to your hotel in Rome. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Rome. Day 8: Saturday, June 17, 2018 Breakfast in hotel and check out. Departure on foot to the train station. Take the train to Florence. Arrival in Florence and accommodation at Hotel Corona D Italia*** located close to the train station. In the afternoon at h. 15.30 appointment in the lobby with our English speaking local guide and departure for a walking tour of Florence. Beginning with the visit, only from outside, of some little artisans shops. (Because the artisans shops in Florence are too little the owners do not accept the visit of the groups, so it will be possible to see them only from outside) then the walk will continue to Uffizi Gallery. Guided visit inside. This is one of the most famous art museums in the world. It has works of art by great Italian painters such as Botticelli, Giotto, Cimabue, Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo Da Vinci.You will be able to visit the museum all the time you want. Return back on foot to your hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Florence. Day 9: Sunday, June 18, 2018 Breakfast in hotel and appointment in the lobby with our English speaking local guide. Departure for a walking tour of Florence beginning with the visit of Piazza del Duomo located in the heart of historic Florence, this public square contains the Cathedral with Brunelleschi s dome, The Opera del Duomo Museum, Baptistery with Ghiberti s bronze doors. The tour will finish with the visit of Accademia Gallery inside. Return back on foot to your hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Florence Day 10: Monday, June 19, 2018 Breakfast in hotel and check out. Leave the luggage in hotel and departure on foot with your guide to Santa Maria Novella square to visit the Church and Museum. Originally built during the Gothic period, it was modified in the Renaissance style by Leon Battista Alberti and Filippo Brunelleschi. More importantly ot contains greatly admired examples of large scale fresco paintings by Renaissance artists such as Masaccio, Filippino Lippi, Domenico Ghirlandaio not to mention distinguished predecessors like Giotto & Duccio. At the end of the visit departure on foot to see the Museum of Bargello. Time to visit inside and then return back to your hotel. Pick up of the luggage and transfer by private coach to Florence airport for your departing flight.
