BIKE & SAIL SPAIN S BALEARIC ISLANDS IBIZA MALLORCA & MALLORCA IBIZA Guided tour 8 days/7 nights, approx. 170km by bike Discover this astonishingly beautiful group of Islands in the Spanish Mediterranean the best way possible...by sailing ship and bike. This tour takes you to the most stunning spots and impressive sites on Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca (Majorca). Gold-stone hill towns peek out above olive groves, cliffs loom over secluded coves and wild peaks make for some spectacular rides. As you cycle through the everchanging landscape of the archipelago, past medieval fortresses and isolated villages, stop for a dip in the crystal-clear water, or at a tapas bar offering a mouth-watering selection of Spanish specialties. Your nights will be spent anchored at sea near ports, or in secluded bays. Onboard, you are welcome to pitch

in with sailing the boat, or to simply relax and enjoy the fresh sea breeze and scenery under a full set of sails. ITINERARY: IBIZA TO MAJORCA Day 1: (Sunday) Ibiza Town boarding at 6 pm Tour starts in the port of Ibiza town with embarkation starting at 6.00pm. It is a short taxi ride from Ibiza airport (taxi approx. 10 Euros - not included). You may leave your luggage on board from 2pm, and go for a stroll through the narrow lanes of the Old Town. Take time to enjoy the magnificent view from the walls of Ibiza s mighty fortification system. At 6pm you will have a welcome drink on deck, meet the crew, and receive a brief an introduction to life onboard before dinner onboard. (Dinner) Day 2: (Mon) Ibiza Island: Sa Caleta - Cala d Hort After breakfast a guided sightseeing-tour explores the UNESCO protected old town of Ibiza. Walking between the walls of the mighty fortress the grand past of the island comes alive. Then it s time to cast off and set sail to the Bay of Sa Caleta. Here your first cycling tour leads you along fennel-lined streets, around the highest point of the Island and back towards the sea passing vineyards, white-washed fincas and the lovely little town of St. Josef. Views of the bay and the ship passing below will take your breath away. Once you reach the sandy white beach of Cala d Hort a swim in the turquoise water is impossible to resist. In fact, you are welcome to swim back to the ship. Overnight stay at anchor close to the mythenshrouded and fascinating rocky island of Es Vedra. Cycling: Approximately 25km, + 400m altitude Day 3: (Tue) Formentera Island: La Savina - La Mola Lighthouse - Es Calo This morning your ship takes you on a two hour sail to the north of stunning Formentera Island - the smallest inhabited island of the Balearics and quite justly known as the Carribean of the Mediterranean. Your cycling tour takes you to the islands capital Sant Francesc, past white cubic houses to La Mola Lighthouse - author Jules Verne s The lighthouse at the End of the World. The cliffs behind this famous lighthouse fall steeply for 140m, and it is said that in good weather you can see all the way to Africa. This afternoon there will be time to swim at one of the most beautiful beaches of the Balearic Islands. And the perfect end to a perfect day would be a cocktail at the beach bar in the bay of Es Calo. Cycling: Approximately 35km, + 250m altitude

Day 4: (Wed) Ibiza Island: Es Canar - Benirras Sail to Es Canar then it s on your bike and a cycle tour through the agricultural centre of the island where numerous almond, fig and carob trees grow in the typical red soil of Ibiza. We stop for lunch of delicious Ibizan specialties in a little village called Sant Carlos. With your energy restored you cycle along the mountainous and wooded north of Ibiza at an elevation of 300m to the secluded and beautiful bay of Benirras. Framed by steep rocks this is our anchorage for the night. Cycling: Approximately 30 km, 450m of altitude Day 5: (Thur) Sailing day: Ibiza Island (Benirras) - Mallorca Island We raise anchor early this morning for a day of sailing the Spanish Mediterranean towards Port d Andratx, in the southwest of Mallorca. Any sailing enthusiasts aboard are welcome to take an active part in the sailing of the ship. For those who would rather watch, then sit back and enjoy the ride. Upon arrival at Mallorca Island, there is time for a dip in the ocean and a walk along the promenade of Port d Andratx. Moored alongside the local fishing boats and noble shipyards creates a special atmosphere. Tonight, try one of the very good seafood restaurants ashore for dinner. (Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 6: (Fri) Majorca Island: Port d Andratx Peguera - Sant Elm - Port d Andratx Today s round trip takes us along the coast to the holiday resort of Peguera. From here we cycle on quiet country roads, while crossing a 240m high mountain pass to Andratx; a place which has kept its pristine charm. We continue cycling to the quiet resort of Sant Elm, where you can spend the afternoon as you like - Go for a swim at the beautiful local beach, or join a walk to the old watchtower. In the late afternoon we finish off our bike tour with a small climb and arrive back in Port d`andratx. Cycling: Approximately 38 km, 700m of altitude Day 7: (Sat) Majorca Island: Port d`andtratx - Port des Canogne - Port de Soller Early in the morning your ship takes you along the impressive steep coastline to a sheltered cove in the northwest of the island to go on our journey s final cycle tour. It takes us from Port des Canonge along a lovely mountain road across the pass of Coll de Claret (450 m of altitude). Many beautiful views high above the sea will soon make you forget all the exertion. We finish our morning cycle tour at the picturesque town Valldemossa with its famous Carthusian monastery. Take your time to stroll through the flower decorated town during your extensive lunch break. In the afternoon, we continue along a lovely mountain road down to Port de Soller. The route s highlights include the picturesque artist s village of Deia, and the former Son Marroig Estate. After arriving in Port de Soller, you can watch lively scenes while drinking a cup of coffee in the Placa de Constitucio before the Farewell dinner lures you back on board. The last evening is traditionally spent in a convivial get-together of guests, crew and tour guides. You will spend the night in the harbour of Soller. Cycling: Approximately 40km, 800m of altitude Day 8: (Sun) Tour ends at Port de Soller, Majorca Is. (Breakfast) Disembark by 9am. Group transfer to Palma Airport: 30 Euros per person, please request at time of booking (Sunday only).

Itinerary changes: The captain reserves the right to make alterations to the itinerary, depending on wind and weather conditions, or organisational requirements. Please note: Many harbours in the Balearics are privately owned with harbour taxes being too expensive to include in the tour price. For this reason the ship will often anchor outside of the marina. Guests, guides and bikes will have to take a tender/dinghy for daily embarkation and disembarkation. We will offer shuttle service, for evening shore leave. Our staff will give you a helping hand. GRADE: Energetic: The cycle tours average 35km a day and will take you through hilly and mountainous terrain - most of the roads are asphalted. You can cycle individually using the information and maps provided or join the tour guides. You can also stay onboard at any time to swim, relax or simply enjoy the sailing and the views. A limited number of Electric bikes are available please request at time of booking. Bike Helmets are mandatory for this tour: We recommend you bring your own (well fitted) helmet. There are a limited number of bike helmets on board (you must request one at the time of booking). You will have plenty of opportunities to experience the delicious local cuisine ashore. REVERSE ITINERARY (MALLORCA IBIZA) 1 st Day (Saturday) Mallorca Island: Boarding in Port de Soller Individual arrival and group transfer from airport to the port of Soller. Your proud ship is ready for boarding at 6 pm. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage on board after 2 pm and spend the afternoon as you wish. Take a walk along the bay of Port de Soller or let the ancient tram swing you through orange groves to the town centre. Here, we can watch the lively scene while drinking a cup of coffee in the Placa de Constitucio before the first communal meal lures us back on board. During a welcome drink on deck, we receive a brief introduction to life on board and get to know the crew. Overnight stay in the harbour of Soller. (Dinner onboard) 2 nd Day (Sun) Mallorca Island: Soller Valdemossa Port Andratx (approx. 30 km, + 800 m ascent) The first stretch of cycling takes us from Soller along a curving coastal road to Valdemossa, a small town at an elevation of 400 m with its famous Carthusian monastery. The countless views across the sea make the effort invested well worthwhile. The route is lined with highlights, such as the picturesque artist s village of Deya and the former Son Marroig Estate. After an extensive lunch break in Valdemossa we continue on the bikes rapidly descending to the sea where the ship awaits us. The command is called: Cast off! For those who would rather watch, it's enough to enjoy the fresh sea breeze or to settle down with a book they have always wanted to read. After arriving Ibiza, there is time for a refreshing swim in the sea or a walk along the untouched, rugged north coast of the island. Framed by steep rocks you stay on your proud ship anchoring overnight in the bay of Benirras. (Breakfast & Lunch) 5 th Day (Wed) Ibiza Island: Benirras Es Canar - Insel Formentera (approx. 30 km, + 450m ascent) Today's cycle tour takes us at first along a wooded mountainous stretch at an elevation of 300 m to the beautiful beach of Sant Vincente, where we take a short swim and coffee break. We continue first along the coastline and later on through the agricultural centre of the island. We stop for lunch in a little village called Sant Carlos coming up with a large amount of Ibizan specialities. Afterwards we cycle some further km to the ship which takes us to the next island: Formentera. It is the smallest inhabited island of the Balearic Islands and often quite justly called the Carribean of the Mediterranean. The evening is best spent relaxing with a cocktail at the beach bar in the bay of Es Calo to let the day fade away. 6 th Day (Thu) Formentera Island: Es Calo La Savina Insel Ibiza: Cala d Hort (approx. 35 km + 250 m ascent) In the morning, we make a detour by bicycle to the lighthouse La Mola, which Jules Verne mentions in one of his novels as the lighthouse at the end of the world. The cliffs behind the lighthouse fall off steeply for 140 m, and it is said that in good weather conditions one can see all the way to Africa. We continue cycling to the dreamy island capital, Sant Francesc passing the cubic houses and wheat fields recaptured by wild flowers. We meet the Atlantis at the northernmost point of the island to sail to our overnight stay at the marvellous bay of Cala d Hort on Ibiza. Take the chance to go ashore for a swim, or just enjoy the views of the myth-enshrouded rocky island of Es Vedra. 7 th Day (Fri) Cala d Hort - Es Jondal - Ibiza Stadt (approx. 25 km & 400m ascent) The last cycle trip of the tour starts with a short but severe uphill climb out of the bay of Cala d Hort till we reach the cliff coast. Along fennel-lined streets, around the highest point of the Island towards the sea passing vineyards and white-washed fincas as well as the lovely little town of St. Josef. After lunch and a stop for swimming, we sail to Ibiza Town, where we go on a sight-seeing tour of the UNESCO-protected Old Town.
