DAY 1, WELCOME TO BRATISLAVA (2x overnight in Bratislava) Welcome to Bratislava. Relax or take a leisurely stroll around the city. This evening join your Tour Guide and travelling companions for a Welcome Drink and itinerary introduction. Your lovely holiday has just started. DAY 2, BRATISLAVA QUALITY SIGHTSEEING TOUR Start the day with Quality sightseeing tour and see the highlights of this charming city. Primate Palace - the largest in Bratislava where the Treaty of Pressburg was signed, see the mysterious tapestries inside the Hall of Mirrors, St. Martin Cathedral the coronations place of 18 rulers including Austria-Hungarian empress Maria Theresa, Michaels gate - the only preserved gate, strolling through historical narrow streets. Climb up to Bratislava castle and enjoy views on the city. We drive to Devin castle - situated at the confluence of the Danube & Morava rivers. Its owners could control the important trade route along the Danube as well as one branch of the Amber Road. Samples of Current wine is waiting for you. It s a regional specialty. DAY 3, BANSKA STIAVNICA (2x overnight in High Tatras) This morning we have a scenic drive northeast. A stop in a picturesque Banska Stiavnica town, connected with the mining of silver, gold. It is like to step in the past centuries. Admire Old, New castle and Holy Trinity square. Lunch break to try some traditional meals from a local restaurant and try beers from local top quality microbrewery. A short town s introduction with a lunch break and continue to High Tatra mountains where we show you Strbske Pleso alpine lake, have a rest with coffee & cake, drive to Stara Lesna village. For dinner we accompany you to Koliba a traditional wooden chalet with traditional tasty Slovak dishes, waiters in folk costumes and Slovak folk music. Start with a shot of Slivovica a plum brandy and continue with our national meal Bryndzove halusky. DAY 4, UNCOVER THE BEAUTY OF TATRA MOUNTAINS It's easy to fall in love with High Tatras - mountains with its picturesque valleys, brooks, waterfalls, colorful meadows, tarns with crystal clear water. We take a cable car to get to Skalnate pleso (optional, tickets not included). Breathtaking views are waiting for you. Then we take a pleasant walking tour*, trail goes through blueberry bushes and dwarf pines until we reach the oldest tiny mountain cottage (1hr 30min). What about to try a tasty tee from local herbs? A few steps further we will admire the waterfalls. The right time for taking pictures and relaxing. We end up going down by funicular railway to Stary Smokovec town. 2
*For non-hikers, we only organize a cable car trip, without a hiking tour. Instead of a hiking tour it is a possibility to visit the only accessible cave in High Tatras - the Belianska cave. Back to Pension P2004. Day 5, LEVOCA & SPISS CASTLE / UNESCO History enthusiasts will admire charming middle-aged town Levoca, cultural & historic jewel among Slovak towns. Visit of Roman Catholic church of St. Jacob with its largest wooden wing gothic altar in the world - a masterpiece from Master Paul of Levoca. Museum visit & strolling around. Lunch break followed by visit of Spiss castle. It is not just an evidence of architectural development from the 12th to 18th century, but it is one of the largest castles in Central Europe. Mighty and impressive fortress in a stunning location. Transfer to Bratislava and at leisure. DAY 6, DEPARTURE Your memorable holiday comes to an end today.
