ITC Sports Travel WEST INDIES v ENGLAND 2015 CRICKETER TOUR ANTIGUA & GRENADA Test Match Series 16 nights 11 27 April THE CARIBBEAN AWAITS The Caribbean islands may unite as the West Indies in a cricketing sense, but to adopt a broader brush approach to them as holiday destinations is to do them a disservice. Each island has its own culture, national characteristics, special attractions and features. The beauty of these differences is there is an ideal holiday awaiting everyone who travels to the Caribbean. Antigua and Grenada make up the classic cricket twin centre holiday, allowing you to enjoy the culture and characteristics of two very different nations in combination with calypso cricket. The Caribbean island of Grenada is a place that will enchant your senses. Known as The Spice Island, its rich tapestry of history, culture and landscape creates a very special place. Between your time at the cricket and on the beach, you ll find plenty of added inclusions to the tour, such as a lunch at Jackie O s beach restaurant in Antigua, two State of Play functions with celebrity guests, a fantastic Spice Tour of the Grand Etang Rainforest and Lake along with a sumptuous Farewell Dinner with your fellow travellers. April 2015 in the UK or a trip to the Caribbean with ITC Sports? We know which option we d choose and we hope you ll join us in the sunshine!
Antigua - For beach lovers is not a phrase to be taken lightly when describing Antigua. This low-lying island is surrounded by a reputed 365 beaches one for each day of the year each one pristine white and often in its own secluded cove. Antigua has much more to offer though, from waterborne activities such as sailing and diving to those for landlubbers, such as the historic areas of English Harbour and Nelson s Dockyard. The hilltop of Shirley Heights provides awe-inspiring, panoramic views and is the venue at least once a week for a jump up, an event enjoyed by visitors and locals alike. Sample the local music and food to the backdrop of one of the island s legendary sunsets. Grenada Retaining much of its traditional West Indian feel, you ll be guaranteed a warm welcome from the locals. A proud nation, there s plenty for the islanders to be proud of; home to a landscape where spice plantations merge with rainforests dotted with waterfalls and tropical gardens pave the way to secluded coves. The Grenada National Stadium will host the first ever West Indies v England Test Match in Grenada, a brand new state of the art modern facility with everything you need to absorb and produce a remarkable experience. The stadium was host to the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2007, fetching rave reviews from well travelled cricket commentators and cricket fans from all over the world. Away from the cricket and this island has plenty of means by which to kick back and relax too, with sunset cruises, tranquil spa treatments and dining on fine Caribbean fare all part and parcel of your stay on Grenada.
