ATTRACTIONS (the things to do) Big fish and big bricks are paired with live theatre and creative outlets to make Crown Center the region s #1 family destination. SEA LIFE AT CROWN CENTER Scheduled to open in 2012, Sea Life at Crown Center will take visitors on a 2-3 hour journey from the fresh waters of the Missouri River to the warm blue coral of the Caribbean and the dark abyss of the Atlantic Ocean. The two-story aquarium will house more than 30 spectacular displays of marine life for visitors to enjoy everything from shrimp and starfish to seahorses, sharks and rays. A stunning centerpiece will be a huge tropical ocean tank with a walkthrough underwater tunnel. Sea Life, the world s biggest aquarium brand, is operated by Merlin Entertainments, the world s second-largest visitor attraction operator. The Crown Center aquarium is expected to attract 350,000 guests during its first full year. LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER Opening at Crown Center in 2012 is the LEGOLAND Discovery Center. It will be located adjacent to Sea Life, another Merlin Entertainments attraction. This will be just the fourth LEGOLAND Discovery Center in the U.S. At other locations, visitors enjoy incredible adventures with jungle explorers, ride into the unknown on dragons, construct intricate buildings and vehicles, see the local area in astonishing miniature detail and, most of all, discover the power of imagination.
