President s Message Ulverstone West Rotary was very impressed with the number of Deloraine Rotarians who went to visit last week - 19 of us. We were well and truly welcomed by President Bill Cruz and all the members. I was particularly pleased that everyone spread themselves around to each table so that good interaction with Ulverstone members could occur. Thank you to those members. For those unable to attend - a shame, as it was a really good night. May 22 nd booked for return visit. Stay tuned. After the meeting we all took a leisurely stroll (not really... huff, puff, stop to look at the view) up the Zig-Zag Track. How many times did Roy do the walk - 2, 3? Good grief man, what were you thinking. Thanks to Lindsay for the opportunity to do the visit and to see what the track was like in reality. Very beautiful indeed. This week is a packed meeting so could everyone please be on time (yes I know you usually are, but,...) and during the dinner please help the Chairman and myself keep the evening moving so we can fit it all in. We have a cheque to present to RFDS from the TCF proceeds, Kali from Learn-to -Swim will give a brief report, then we have Lois B and Mary to tell us about the last trip to Nepal. Next week we start out with the Mental Health Muster BBQ on Sunday 4 th - please check details. Next night is the Forum and we are each asked to provide a plate for the supper. Get your aprons out members, get that baking happening and bring some of the usual Deloraine goodies. There is no meeting on the 6 th February, but, on the 7 th we can all visit Westbury to hear the Oregon Friendship Group deliver their talk. Three of the group will be staying in Deloraine for Wednesday and Thursday nights. Please RSVP to Ann as soon as you can so we can send numbers through to Westbury. Yours in Rotary Gayle

SOCIAL To give Rotarians maximum lead-up to social functions (or planned social functions), please provide information to Bulletin Editor as early as possible, this allows Rotarians to check diaries/calendars before names being required at a meeting!! BELL SHAKESPEARE Julius Caesar Friday 31 st August, 2018 (7.30pm) As no one came to me with any money for Julius Caesar last Tuesday night, I can't go ahead with any bookings. I am now away for the next two weeks but we would really like to make the group booking as soon as possible. Would those who are definitely interested in going to the play, please pay their money to Gayle in an envelope during this week and Gayle will make a booking only for those who have paid. The Tasmanian Truck Show is presented by the Lions Club of Deloraine and will be held at the Quercus Rural Youth park near Carrick (the Agfest site) in February each year.
