ZONAL FARE CONCEPT and DISCOUNTED FARE CONCEPT FOR EMPLOYEE DUTY TRAVEL Mileage system fare calculation principles L = Low, M=Medium, H = High zone fares: This is a system of fare calculations using fixed prices per segment of a journey. Uniform fares will be charged within fixed distance mileage bands/zones in Ticketed Point Miles (TPM). For each individual coupon one fare will be charged independent of the total routing. E.g. for two separate coupons for a journey MAD-ZRH-ATH, two separate fares must be charged, MAD-ZRH (TPM 771 Mileage Band/Zone 3) plus ZRH-ATH (TPM 1019 Mileage Band/Zone 3); the through TPM of 1478 (Mileage Band/Zone 3) cannot be used. One coupon can be issued for any through flight within each mileage band/zone, provided that there is no voluntary stopover, unless the Transporting Airline advises to the contrary. E.g. for a journey CPH-NCE, a) if the flight is non-stop, issue one coupon, using Mileage Band/Zone 3 fare; b) if the journey routes via PAR, but with no change of flight number, issue one coupon, using Mileage Band/Zone 3 fare, (this depends on each carrier) c) if the journey routes via PAR, but there are two different flight numbers, two separate coupons must be issued, and two separate Mileage Band/Zone fares charged, Mileage Band/Zone 2 plus Mileage Band/Zone 1. The total fare for the journey is the sum of the fares for each individual coupon. Finally, applicable taxes, fees and charges have to be added. For Fare Levels see separate Fare Levels section below.
