OPEN AGAIN THIS JUNE Or by appointment Now hear this! This is your official ORSON WELLES, WAR OF THE WORLDS, DISCLAIMER! Fresh eggs, pies, fruit, fresh flowers, weddings and other events, pumpkin patch, and the best Christmas trees. A seventh-generation family farm. In 1938, Orson Welles put on a radio broadcast of the novel WAR OF THE WORLDS. It was pure fiction. There is material in this Newsblast that relates to the THUNDER IN THE PINES RACING CIRCUIT, and the PONY EX- PRESS 1900. It is humor, understand? Do not believe it, do not ask where you can buy tickets, do not ask me if the Martians have landed. If the Martians invade, I will tell you, we will arm ourselves, and we will go out there and kick Martian ass. If the THUNDER IN THE PINES RAC- ING CIRCUIT ever gets built, I will tell you, I will provide you with a sports car to run in the races. Until then, if it moves, salute it; if it doesn t move, paint it,

THUNDER IN THE PINES Racing world rumors. Rumored that Reinhard Kleinschwanz and Dindoo Nuffin, drivers for the British Racing Unlimited (BRU) team, were involved in a barroom brawl in the little Finnish town of Plattfüßig Toope. The fight started when suuri / iso kyrpä Puhakka, a local resident, accused Kleinschwanz of making a pass at his girlfriend, and started throwing punches. Nuffin stepped into the fight, declaring that Kleinschwanz hadn t done anything. Kleinschwanz denied the charge, telling police that the fight started when Puhakka had accused him of trying to sell, recycled motor oil to auto parts dealers, and got upset when Kleinschwanz noted replied that the local liquor known as Salmari, also known as Salmiakki, looks, and tastes like recycled motor oil. Of course Salmari, a popular Finnish drink, does in fact, look like recycled motor oil. RAINBOW in the race? Strange noises, motor noises, have been coming from one of the barns at RAINBOW OR- CHARDS. There were reports that a candy APPLE red Ferrari 330P4, with famed driver, mechanic, and neighbor Harvey Linville at the wheel, had been seen doing tire testing on local roads. Observers noted that the exhaust smelled like hot apple cider. Add to that, reports that an exotic still had been spotted on the property. When asked about the reports, employees stiffen up, and will say only that a new hard cider, Christa s Rainbow Punch, is being produced in experimental quantities. Others wonder if Tom and Christa* are using the still to produce an exotic fuel using their famous apples. Time will tell, because Tom and Christa will only smile when asked. * The owners THE DROUGHT IS ON! NAME THE TV SHOW
