Go Carbon Neutral: Measure, Reduce, Offset Carbon dioxide emissions (CO 2 ) are created every time we use electricity, heat our homes, drive our cars, take a flight, or consume goods and services. Collectively, these CO 2 emissions contribute to climate change, which is expected to cause significant detrimental ecological, social, and economic risks and impacts. OUR CARBON OFFSET PROGRAM Through Patagonia Sur s Reforestation and Biodiversity Project, we create carbon offsets that take action now to reduce or neutralize your CO 2 emissions. Following internationally recognized standards, we have begun to plant millions of native-species trees on our properties in Chilean Patagonia, which will eliminate CO 2, create sustainable local jobs, and improve the biodiversity of native wildlife. Individuals, businesses and institutions that want to meet their Green Initiative can purchase carbon offsets generated by the Patagonia Sur Reforestation and Biodiversity Project and thereby reduce their carbon footprint. Las Vegas Color Graphics is excited to partner with Patagonia Sur to offset our carbon emissions and to engage our customers in our carbon offset program by tracking Patagonia Sur s activities as trees are planted across thousands of acres in Patagonia, Chile. Heidi Bridges President, Las Vegas Color Graphics Instituto Forestal (INFOR) conducts baseline studies of sequestration rates and verifies that real carbon reduction would not have occurred in the absence of the project. Patagonia Sur plants native-species trees as part of a large-scale reforestation project that also benefits native wildlife. Project is expected to sequester 1.5MM tons CO2. CONAF (Chile s National Forestry Service) verifies that the trees are planted and maintained. Patagonia Sur has established a reserve plantation that duplicates 20% of all trees planted. In case of a fire, invasive species, or disease, this reserve will ensure that offsets are not compromised.
