It is the essential annual event for Australia s disability employment industry. About Disability Employment Australia Disability Employment Australia is the peak industry body for Australia's Disability Employment Services (DES). We are recognised Australia-wide as the preeminent national organisation representing, supporting and resourcing the disability employment sector throughout Australia. We also have an expanding international presence. We exist to represent the interests of our members at a national level to government and other stakeholders. We support our members to achieve best practice service provision in their role to find employment outcomes for people with disability. We advise, advocate, train, inform, and undertake events to promote the sector. Exhibitors Hosting an exhibitor s stand at the Conference puts your brand and the key services that you offer at the centre of over 500 delegates, from over 170 organisations around Australia. 1 The Conference is designed to allow for a multitude of formal and informal networking opportunities. About the Conference The 2012 conference falls at a critical time for the sector. Tenders will have been submitted, and it will be a timely opportunity to regroup, debrief, and map out our strategy moving forward. A multi-level program is being offered. The conversations weaving their way through the conference will cater to Boards, CEOs, senior managers, operational managers, workforce planners, Disability Employment Services (DES) practitioners, people with disability and those with an interest in open employment for people with disability in Australia. We expect a similar attendance level in Melbourne 2012. 5
Networking Events Welcome Reception: This is a great opportunity to network with your existing contacts and make new ones. The Welcome Reception will be the first official opportunity for delegates to meet with one another, and peruse the exhibitor booths. Delegates will be addressed by Disability Employment Australia CEO, Lynette May, as well as enjoy unobtrusive entertainment and informal networking. Last year s Welcome reception attracted more than 250 delegates. Similar numbers are expected this year. Gala Dinner: This year s Gala Dinner will be held in the Plaza Ballroom in the Regent theatre. The evening will feature the Hall of Fame Award Ceremony, a three course meal, and entertainment to dance the night away. Following last year s sell out event, we expect to enjoy the evening with over 200 delegates at this much anticipated event. The Conference Venue: The Grand Hyatt hotel is a well renowned five star venue, located in Melbourne s CBD. It is situated close to many of Melbourne s iconic attractions, and within easy reach of public transport. Conference Program Our program this year captures the prominent themes weaving through the disability employment sector over the last 12 months. It also looks to the future, and guides the sector in best practice, directing attention to pertinent topics on the horizon. Terms and Conditions Attendance Disability Employment Australia makes no guarantee as to the number of delegates and/or visitors that may attend the exhibition and/or associated conference events. Exhibitor stands Stands will be allocated in the order that they are sold, with the exception of the Major Conference and Gala Dinner Sponsor Package. Exhibitor stand locations will be allocated with your preferences in mind, but if unavailable the next-best location will be provided. Power, furniture and all other additional hire items you may require that are not detailed as being included in the package above must be ordered through the event appointed contractor. Contact details will be provided. Please note that all electrical equipment must be tested and tagged. Provision of Delegates Details The provision of delegate contact details as specified in individual packages is subject to the provisions of the Privacy Act 2001. The Privacy Act 2001 provides that before name and address details can be published in the list of Conference delegates or any other party, delegates must give consent. When a delegate list is supplied to the sponsor, you are reminded to use it in accordance with the Australian Spam Act, the various Australian Privacy Acts and by following business best practices for information management. Public and Product Liability Insurance Australian regulations require all exhibitors to have adequate Public and Product Liability Insurance cover based on a limit of indemnity to the value of $10,000,000 or above. This refers to damage or injury caused to third parties / visitors on, or in, the vicinity of an exhibition stand. Exhibitors are required to submit their Public Liability Insurance Certificate along with their booking form. Disclaimer Disability Employment Australia has the right to amend or add any sponsorship package and accept any sponsorship offer, listed or unlisted, at any time and without notice. Unavoidable Occurrences In the event that the Conference is cancelled or delayed through no fault of Disability Employment Australia, or the venue, including but not limited to; fire, flood, labour disputes, natural disasters, acts of God, civil disorders, riots, insurrections, work stoppages, 14
slowdowns or disputes, or other similar events then the exhibitor/sponsor shall not be entitled to any refund or claim for any loss or damage. Exhibitors must make provisions for the safeguarding of their goods, materials, equipment and displays at all times. Please be security conscious. Do not leave wallets, laptops, mobile telephones or any easily portable items unattended at your stand, at any time. The protection of your property is your responsibility. Deposits and Payment A 50% deposit is required on all sponsorship packages and exhibition stands at the time of booking, with the balance to be paid no later than six (6) weeks prior to the Conference. Cancellations Cancellations must be made six (6) weeks prior to the Conference to be entitled to a full refund. Notification must be made in writing to sian.harrop@disabilityemployment.org.au Any exhibitors cancelling six (6) weeks or less prior to the conference forfeit all monies paid, and are not entitled to refunds or compensation due to loss of trade. Disability Employment Australia will assume that non-attendance by exhibitors is a default cancellation. All monetary payments, inclusive of, but not limited to, EFT and cheque, must be made no later than 26 June, 2012 Artwork & Design Submission All sponsors and advertisers must provide the logos and associated information to be used in their sponsorship package to Disability Employment Australia. Inclusion of corporate logos or recognition in printed material is subject to meeting publication deadlines. All logos to be used for print purposes must be provided in CMYK colour modes and in a vector format, or at a minimum of 600dpi resolution. Recommended file types are PSD, PDF, AI, TIFF or EPS.
