BETWEEN LAKES AND MOUNTAINS... Inaugurated on 28th May 1980, this Educational and Leisure Centre in Les Angles is situated in the Pyrénées-Orientales, in the heart of the ski resort Les Angles, at an altitude of 1600m. It has an exceptional location, at the foothills of the Carlit, looking down on Lake Matemale and only 20kms from Font- Romeu. Not only is Les Angles a popular ski resort, it also offers summer tourism activities: hiking and walking in the counrtyside of the mountains to admire the superb views, natural vegetation and wild animals. Destination The trip there and back will be by bus, on 14th May 2018 leaving at 9am (journey of 3 hours plus a 30 minute snack stop) and returning around 5.30pm on 18th May 2018. The Centre Each bedroom has between 3-6 beds and private toilet facitilies. There are also: > 3 bath / shower rooms on each floor > 1 games room > 1 cafeteria with TV > 1 lounge with fireplace > 1 computer with internet access Our staff makes sure that bedtime is as calm as possible so each child is able to fall asleep peacefully. That way the children are full of energy for their daytime activities the following day.
Meals All meals are prepared on site by qualified chefs and will help children to learn and discover new tastes and flavours. Meal times offer a moment of exchange, in a relaxed atmosphere that are important for the educational side of social upbringing. The centre caters for all dietary requirements and allergies.

Ornithological Fun
Visit of the animal park in Les Angles Situated in Pla Del Mir, this park consists of 37 hectares of pine forest at an altitude of 1800m. Two circuits, 3500m long and the other 1500m long, allow the visitors to discover vegetation and wildlife in the park. The circuits lead us through the natural habitats of wild animals living in the Pyrenees. Patience is a virtue when it comes to observing the mountainous wildlife which lives so close to us. The park s staff will be able to convey their knowledge to the future generations. The different animals are: bison, bear, wolf, mountain goat,, deer, bighorn sheep, wild boar, marmot, reindeer.
Visit to the Rialet educational farm and goat farm We ll see more than150 animals and 30 different species during our visit. The Rialet educational farm has developed enormously since 2012 in order to accommodate its visitors. There are over 2 hectares of outdoor farmland and 800m² of inside barn and stable visits for all ages. Cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, horses, pheasants, turkeys, geese, ducks, rabbits, chickens and doves await you on your educational visit. Activities: visit the animal courtyard near the stables, feeding the animals, «milk and butter workshop» and visiting the animals at milking time.
Walking in Pla del Bouc The children will go looking for animal tracks here. They will be on the lookout for deer, hares, squirrels or woodpeckers all living near the old village. In Pla del Mir near Les Angles, «Terra Nordica» is a place out of time, which combines marvellous outdoor play areas with nordic spirit and nature.
Land Art Land art is a contemporary art trend that uses natural objects found in the countryside such as wood, soil, stones, water and rocks etc. The children will find their artistic resource materiel during their walk in Pla del Bouc.
Citadel of Mont-Louis For more than 325 years, Mont- Louis was a military site and its citadel is the home to a unique piece of architecture, Puits des Forçats (or well). The visit will offer an insight into the citadel s history and construction. The visit will take us on a visit inside the military strong-hold which is usually closed to the general public. We ll discover the well, Puits des Forçats, with its huge water wheel providing water to the fort.
Enrolments Tariff: 580 Minimum: 30 pupils Maximum: 45 pupils Enrolments for this school trip will take place between 16th November and 8th December 2017 by completing the contract along with the payment by two cheques for 290 each. The first cheque will be cashed in December 2017, and the second in March 2018.
