Dont forget to lock your hubs in especially on Hortings Crossing. On Mon & Tues. I did a recce drive, Haunted Stream which hadn t suffered from the recent rains, Lucys hut was still standing, then around to Camms. Part of Messmate Spur had been bulldozed, Danes Link track has had a dozer along it from Messmate, Sth to Danes Tk. and is now a fire break. Danes Tk. has been bulldozed, Wild Horse Creek Tk.& Pheasant Tk. have been dozed and are now firebreaks. Waynes Tk. has been dozed and turned into a firebreak to Killgowers, Mt Steve Tk has been dozed and is now a firebreak. Friday Spur Tk. down to Wallers Hut has been dozed and made a firebreak. Storer Tk up from Wallers Hut has also been dozed into a firebreak. All of these tracks have significant water run offs which has made them much steeper, especially Danes Link Tk. They also have sections of off camber, which are, soft, slippery and scary. At the moment Danes Link and Friday Spur are down only and some of that could be out of control. Hortens Crossing was also checked out but not used due to the current flow. Take care if organising a trip into that area.
