INTRODUCTION Events at BALTIC BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art is located on the south banks of the River Tyne in the North East of England. The striking former flour mill in Gateshead now exhibits work by some of the world s leading contemporary artists and is one of the region s most recognisable landmarks. BALTIC is an extremely versatile venue, hosting everything from car launches, fashion shows, TV broadcasts and conferences to training workshops, academic seminars, high profile business dinners and networking evenings. With clean white walls, soft wood floors and an in-house AV studio, Level 1 is a blank canvas ready to be transformed into your bespoke event. This flexible space is suitable for many events including conferences, product launches, private parties, TV studio broadcasts and award ceremonies. You are welcome to provide your own equipment and set but it is a requirement that BALTIC s Technician be onsite for installation, event duration and de-rig. GETTING TO BALTIC Train BALTIC is a 20 minute walk or 10 minute taxi from Newcastle train station. Newcastle is approximately 3 hours from London and 1.5 hours from Edinburgh by train.
