Day 3: Tour to Rundale Palace Departure to Rundale (80 km from Riga). The Palace is an example of the early work of Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, who also created famed Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. It is one of the few remaining places in Latvia, where the very essence of the 18th century may still be experienced. The Palace boasts a beautiful French-style park.
