WELCOME TO GARMIN // We re glad to have you VISITOR S GUIDE 3 This guide includes travel, lodging, dining, and offer information to assist you in preparing for your training visit. It is designed as a starting point for you and is not comprehensive in nature. Training will be hosted in Garmin s Aviation Training and Support Center located in Olathe, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City. The day will begin at 8:00 AM. When you arrive, please park in any of the reserved spaces marked with signs at the front of the center (see map on page 5). Complimentary coffee and cold beverages will be provided throughout the duration of the event. 8:00 a.m AIRPORT INFORMATION // FLYING COMMERCIALLY? The Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is located 45 minutes North of Garmin s headquarters. MCI serves most major U.S. airlines. Kansas City International Airport FLYING PERSONAL AIRCRAFT? Arrive at one of the Class D airports near Garmin s headquarters. Both options are 15 minutes from the campus. Johnson County Executive Airport (OJC) FBO Information: Kansas City Aviation Center KCAC Air Associates New Century Air Center (IXD) FBO Information: Signature Flight Support Advanced Aviation New Century Air Service
DIRECTIONS // VISITOR S GUIDE 4 MCI Garmin 1. Merge onto 1-29 S/US-71 S toward Kansas City continue 4 miles. 2. Merge onto MO-152 W via exit 9B toward Topeka continue 5.5 miles. 3. Merge onto I-435 S toward Topeka continue 24.4 miles. 4. Merge onto I-35 S/US-169 S/US-50 W/US-56 W via exit 83 toward Wichita continue 6.8 miles take exit 215. 5. Proceed through first set of traffic lights. Turn left at second set of traffic lights (151st Street). Proceed approximitally.75 miles. The Garmin Aviation Training & Support facility will be on the left directly across from the QuikTrip. If you see the Garmin sign with the flags on the left, you have gone too far. ETA 45-60 minutes OJC Garmin 1. Turn left toward W 151st Steet. 2. Turn left at the 1st cross street onto W. 151st St. 3. Turn right onto S Mahaffie Circle. ETA 9 minutes IXD Garmin 1. Get on US-56 E/E Main St. in Gardner from New Century Pkwy. 2. Take I-35 N to W 151st St. in Olathe. Take exit 215 from I-35 N. 3. Continue on W 151st St. Drive to S Mahaffie Cir. ETA 14 minutes
GARMIN CAMPUS INFORMATION // VISITOR S GUIDE 5 Garmin Headquarters is located off of interstate I-35 and 151st Street in the Southwest suburbs of Kansas City. Training will be held in the Aviation Training Center, Building 3. If traveling Eastbound on 151st Street from I-35, after 1 mile turn left at the stoplight onto Brentwood Street. Once on Brentwood, make an immediate right turn into the Aviation Training Center parking lot. You will see reserved parking for the training seminar near the front of the building.
