TRAVEL INFORMATION BY ROAD GPS Co-dinates: W0 30.228` N51 24.567` Directions: From the M25, exit at Junction 11 and take the route that is signposted A320 Woking at the end of the dual carriageway. Turn right at the roundabout, which is signposted A320 Chertsey/Staines. As an extra guide you can follow the brown signs f Thpe Park. Continue to follow the signs A320/Thpe Park. This will take you through Chertsey and onto a dual carriageway with the Twynersh Pub on your left. Continue on the dual carriageway, going over the M3. This brings you to another roundabout. Thpe Park is on your left. At this roundabout, go straight over onto Staines Road at take the second entrance on the right which is Gate 5. Bare round to the left and Le Boat pontoons can be found at the end of the track on the right. NEAREST AIRPORTS London Heathrow : 17 Kms (M25) Gatwick : 53 Kms (M25) NEAREST TRAIN STATIONS
Staines is the most convenient station, as it is on the mainline from Waterloo (London) to Reading. On arrival, it is only a sht taxi ride to the marina. TAXI TRANSFERS If you are arriving by plane train, we can arrange f a taxi to transfer you to and from the base. Please complete a taxi transfer request fm, found at the end of this document, and return it as instructed at least two weeks pri to your holiday. Fares are payable locally in local currency. CAR TRANSFERS (FOR ONEWAY CRUISES) If you are doing a one-way cruise (i.e. returning your boat to a different base), we can transfer your car from your departure base to your end base. Our staff are insured to drive your vehicle on your behalf, with the exception of rental vehicles. Car transfers are bookable in. Start Base End Base Transfer Supplement Chertsey Benson $170 YOUR ARRIVAL BASE OPENING HOURS Monday Sunday: 09:00 17:00 WHEN TO ARRIVE: Your boat will be ready to depart f 16:00-17:30. We recommend that you arrive 60 minutes earlier f check-in and instructions. If you have booked an Early Check-in Service, please arrive at the base ready to depart between 11am and 12pm from 2pm.
LATE ARRIVALS: If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to infm the base directly. When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception do infming you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on f you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following mning. UPON ARRIVAL: Our base staff look fward to welcoming you to their cruising region and aim to make your arrival and holiday as smooth and enjoyable as possible. When you arrive base staff will: Take a fuel deposit to cover the fuel you use during your holiday. Any extra fuel used will be charged on your return we will refund the difference f fuel you have not used. Take a refundable collision damage deposit if you have not purchased collision damage waiver. This will be refunded if you return your boat and its inventy undamaged at the end of your holiday Familiarise you with your waterways guide, maps and other helpful documentation provided to help you plan where you want to go and where you d like to stop. Brief you about your boat, the equipment on board, and the cruising area (places to visit, etc). Give you a boat handling demonstration on the water with one of our technicians. BASE FACILITES MDL Penton Hook Marina offers toilets, showers, laundry facilities and WiFi access. PARKING: Free unsecure parking is available at the base. LOCAL FACILITIES Supermarkets, banks, post office services, restaurants and shops can all be found in nearby Chertsey. FISHING Fishing is allowed but the close season is between 17th March 16th June. A Fishing Licence is required and is available from any main sub post office, although it is recommended that you obtain your licence befe you leave home. Cost is approximately 6.50 f a licence covering 8 days (children under 12 do not require a licence). YOUR RETURN Your boat should be returned and unoccupied by 9am on your last cruising day ( by midday if you have booked a Late Check-out).
