Hit all the must-see spots in the romantic Buenos Aires on a halfday city tour. Start with the Obelisk, which is in the center of 9 de Julio Ave, and then move on to the Plaza de Mayo, the Plaza San Martín, the "barrios" of La Boca, San Telmo, Montserrat, Palermo, Recoleta and Puerto Madero. Buenos Aires is a huge city, and has so many distinctive neighborhoods - find out which one is your favorite, so that you can come back on your own and spend more time exploring. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 2 EL TIGRE TOUR Once you've had your fill of Buenos Aires, get away from the city and experience the life of verdant El Tigre Delta. This peaceful place located in the north of Buenos Aires city within Buenos Aires province is famous for its zigzagging rivers, the lush vegetation of the islands, and its peaceful atmosphere. Merge into this natural haven on a catamaran boat, taking in the soothing landscapes and listening to the birdsongs. Return to your hotel in Buenos Aires in the afternoon. Day 3 TANGO DINNER SHOW After a day of exploring the city on your own, enjoy an elegant night out on the town, complete with a tango dance show and dinner at a famous tango house. A 3 course meal, wine, and transfers to and from your hotel are included - not to mention the incredible tango dancing show and live music in the world capital of tango! Day 4 TRANSFER TO MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY Leave the big city of Buenos Aires to go to the quiet Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay. Take a ferry across the Rio de la Plata. Arrival and reception at Montevideo pier. City Tour visiting Montevideo's most important attractions: the Independence Square, the Legislative Palace, the traditional Prado neighborhood, the residential zone of Carrasco, the Old City and pedestrian streets, the town hall, the cathedral and the typical Mercado del Puerto, where you can have lunch (not included in the rate, to be paid directly on the spot). Tonight a dinner show including the traditional Uruguayan music and dance Candombe (not be confused with the Brazilian Candomblé), recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Overnight at your hotel in Montevideo.
Day 5 TRANSFER TO COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO Breakfast at the hotel. Full Day tour to Colonia Del Sacramento visiting Colonia's most important attractions. Colonia is an old city which has been declared World Heritage by the UNESCO. We will visit the little stone streets, old edifications, forts, Spanish and Portuguese Museums, the port, downtown, the Ferrando Beach, the wonderful Coastal Rambla which borders Colonia from the Old City to the Real de San Carlos where we will visit the bullring, the horses' race course and the old port. You will stay in Colonia for the night. Day 6 RETURN TO BUENOS AIRES & TRANSFER TO PUERTO IGUAZU Get an early start this morning with transfer to the port for the ferry back to Buenos Aires. Once in Buenos Aires, transfer to the airport for the flight to Puerto Iguazu. This city is the closest to the Iguazu Falls, the huge waterfalls in the Misiones Forest of northeastern Argentina. Check in to your hotel and relax for the night. Day 7 EXPLORE THE IGUAZU FALLS NATIONAL PARK After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls. The waterfalls are not only a UNESCO World Heritage site, but also one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. There are over 275 waterfalls that plunge 72 meters down, and the spectacular spray that rises above it all is visible from the town. Visit the national park in the Argentine side of the falls, which has many hiking trails through subtropical vegetation, and is home to wildlife such as toucans, butterflies, and capybaras. There is an Ecological Train that you can takes passangers from the entrance of the park to the shores of the falls, where you can see the Devil's Throat - the largest of the waterfalls at Iguazu. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 8 EXPLORE THE FOZ DO IGUASSU NATIONAL PARK This morning, after breakfast, head back to the falls for another day of exploring - but first cross over the border into Brazil, and enter the Foz do Iguassu National Park. Brazil's national park surrounding the falls is not quite as extensive as Argentina's park, but it does offer more views of the falls -- and you can walk out over the water on a series of catwalks. You also might want to take a boat ride to get up close (and wet!) to the falls. Return to the hotel when you are finished exploring. Afterwards, transfer to Foz do Iguassu Airport to board a flight to Rio de Janeiro and check in to your hotel. Day 9 SUGAR LOAF & HISTORIC RIO Travel back in time to the begginings of the bustling Carioca city on today's tour. Start from your hotel and pass by the Sambodromo, where dancers from the whole country perfome in the month of February during the most famous carnival in the world. Then, visit the Metropolithan Cathedral and the traditional Cinelândia Square, where the historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts are located. Afterwards, head to one of the highlights in Rio: the Sugar Loaf Mountain. Travel on a cable car up Urca Hill to land on a vantage point of 215 mt high that will reward you with views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niteroi Bridge, and Corcovado Mountain. Ride a cable car once again to reach the top, at al altitude of 1925 ft, and admire the picture-perfect landscape created by the emblematic Copacabana Beach and the Santa Cruz Fortress. Climb down the mountain via cable car and transfer back to your hotel in the late afternoon. You can spend the rest of the day enjoying the sun at the beach.
Day 10 CORCOVADO,TIJUCA FOREST & SAMBA SHOW Today, pass by the Lagoa Rodrigo Freitas and arrive at the Cosme Velho Train cog station, located at the bottom of Corcovado Mountain. Take in the vies of the dense Tijuca rainforest on your way to one of the Seven Wonders of the World: Rio's Christ the Redeemer Statue, situated at an altitude of 38m (125ft). The panoramic views of the bay and the city you will acquire at this altitude are surely an experience you will never forget. In the evening, discover the charm and rhythm of Cariocas at a Samba Dinner Show! After the show transfer back to your hotel.
