Côte d Azur Tour French Riviera Côte d Azur is located between the southern Alps and the Mediterranean. It is known all over the world for its glamour and beauty, not to forget its delicious gastronomy and wines. The region offers diversified landscapes, rich history and architecture, amazing nature and attractive properties.
DAY 1 Arrival Arrival at the airport by a TBA flight. You will be transferred to your hotel in Côte d Azur. *VERY IMPORTANT* - The driver will be waiting for you outside the Customs Area and the Baggage Claim Area, holding a signboard/ipad with your name on it. - Drivers and assistants are NOT allowed to enter the Customs Area. DAY 2 NICE HIGHLIGHTS (Half Day 4 hours) Nice, the city of carnival, beaches and sun. This ideal location between the sea and mountains offers visitors a range of experiences, from its famous pebble beaches to the beauties of the mountainous Mercantour National Park, only an hour by car. The city also has interesting architecture and provides a variety of activities. One of the main attractions is undoubtedly the Promenade des Anglais (the Promenade of the English), which borders the Baie des Anges with its 5 km (3 mi), of beaches. Nissa La bella, as the city is called, is a favorite with tourists, especially the English, and attracts visitors from all over the world, notably from Russia, Italy and America.
DAY 3 CANNES HIGHLIGHTS (Half Day 4 hours) Capital of cinema, city of stars and luxury, Cannes is known throughout the world thanks to its annual International Film Festival. As the third largest city in the region in demographic terms, after Nice and Antibes, this town offers a wide variety of tourist and cultural activities. Cannes is also a renowned seaside resort where the sun (practically) always shines. Its rich history is expressed in elaborate architecture and interesting museums, including one devoted to the mysterious man in the iron mask. DAY 4 SAINT TROPEZ (Half Day 3 hours) Saint Tropez is a very fashionable destination and essential meeting place for jet setters. The little village takes people by surprise due to its simplicity and traditional rustic appearance. But some of the world s wealthiest people call this place home, as shown by the magnificent yachts docked in its harbor. The town s boutiques offer great designer, haute couture and offthe-peg clothing. A magnet for sailors and painters, Saint Tropez impresses all who visit.
DAY 5 MONACO (Half Day 3 hours) A small city-state, the Principality of Monaco (Principatu de Munegu in Monegasque) continues to be the stuff that dreams are made of. Its capital, Monte Carlo, is a city of luxury and beauty, with its principal source of revenue coming from tourism. In addition to its language, Monegasque, and its culinary specialties, the little country is known for its gambling casinos. Prince Albert II, who has been its monarch since 2005, has tried to make Monaco an example in ecology by raising awareness of climate change and by pressing for environmentally sound development. Among the Principality s sightseeing musts are the Monte Carlo district with its famous promenade, Carré d or, featuring the Monte Carlo Casino, the luxurious mixed-use Sporting d Hiver and the Café de Paris. DAY 6 EZE AND SAINT-PAUL DE VENCE (Full Day 6 hours) Sheltered by the peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Eze boasts a beautiful Mediterranean microclimate. Its medieval alleys invite you into a gentle way of life. Villas in shades of pink and ochre present a delightful contrast against the blue of the sea. Wisteria, jasmine and bougainvillea adorn the walls and porticos of the city, while lemon and mandarin trees give off their heady perfume throughout the town. Medieval walls encircle the narrow streets
and help to capture the thousand-year history of the village. Saint-Paul de Vence is an enchanting perched village with roots in roman times. Whether you explore on your own or with a guide, you ll find memorable sights at every turn: picturesque little squares and fountains, historic architecture, galleries of important art (including the famous Maeght Foundation), and a stunning panoramic view over Provence to the sea. DAY 7 PERFUME-MAKING WORKSHOP IN GRASSE AND WINE TOUR IN SAINT JEANNET (Full Day 10 hours) Grasse has been a perfume town ever since the 17th century, and today it is the world's perfume capital. Every year some two million tourists come from all over the world to visit the perfume museum, factories and shops. The city is home to three historic perfume manufacturers: Fragonard, Galimard and Molinard. Your tour will take you through the process of perfume making, which begins with the extraction and distillation of essential oils from flowers, plants and wood. The tour finishes with a perfume-making workshop where you can create you own personal scent. In the afternoon, you will head to Saint Jeannet and visit the Domaine des Hautes Collines and an overview of the wine-making process. The visit ends with a tasting of the Domaine s elegant wines. DAY 8 TOURRETTES SUR LOUP, ANTIBES, CAP D ANTIBES, JUAN LE PINS (Full Day 10 hours) The village of Tourrettes sur Loup brings the French medieval world to life. Perched on a rocky outcrop, it is a charming jumble of stone houses and narrow streets, sheltering many
galleries and artists workshops. The cultivation of violets has given Tourrettes the nickname Violet Village. Next you will explore Antibes and Cap d Antibes, storied resorts on the Côte d Azur Antibes manages to be both a historic town and one of innovation. Cap d'antibes is a small piece of paradise that you can visit by taking the marked path that follows the coastline and brings you into an immense park. Cap d'antibes is also home to a number of millionaire châteaus and dream residences. The famous Eden Roc Hotel, which is reputed to be the most beautiful hotel in the world, commands the point of the Cap. Finally you will visit Juan les Pins, which offers beach going, lively nightlife and sport. F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote part of The Great Gatsby while staying at its famous Hôtel Belles Rives. DAY 9 Departure Check out of your hotel this morning after breakfast and meet your private driver for your transfer to the airport, in time for your outbound flight.
